In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Nadia Odunayo

Literature
If you're an avid reader and huge lover of books, you may have heard of StoryGraph, a book cataloging platform for authors and bookworms across the world! Nadia Odunayo is the founder and CEO of StoryGraph, and she works day and night to make sure that people across the world can share her passion for literary works. Nadia is particularly interested in the process and execution around building products, particularly from scratch. She has a passion for fiction and storytelling, and is interested in how these can be used as tools for education.

Ursula Meyer

If you’re part of the UCSD community, you might recognize Ursula Meyer, the Head of Graduate Acting in the Department of Theatre and Dance. Ursula is in her 27th year teaching and mentoring UCSD students in voice and acting. Before coming to UCSD, she taught at Yale School of Drama, UC Santa Barbara, and University of Washington. Ursula is also a professional actress and voice and text coach and works extensively in regional theatre across the nation, from the La Jolla Playhouse to the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis. A former board member of the Voice and Speech Trainer's Association, she is currently Chair of the Mentorship Initiative. Ursula is also a recipient of a UCSD Senate Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award and a recent Change-Maker Fellow for her work on Anti-Racist Inclusive Shakespeare.
