In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Hello! My name is Kohhei. I'm from Japan. I was a student of Toyota Kosen, where TEDx ToyotaKosen was held, until 2years ago and studied civil engineering. And Now I'm studying environmental engineering, especially viruses in drinking water, in Hokkaido University. I also went to Finland as an exchange student when I was in Kosen. Then I met Leticia, who is my TEDx partner. It's an honor to participate and We are glad to share an idea which is very sensitive but important to everyone, at the TEDx event. Hello there! My name is Leticia Conte Zulian. I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, however, when I was around eleven years old I moved to the USA, and some years later to Finland. Now, in the year of 2023, I study Museology in the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, Brasil. 2021 Miss SAKE

As 2021 Miss SAKE, she promotes the charm of Japanese culture, centering sake, both in Japan and abroad. She is the PR ambassador of Handa City's brewing culture, which has more than 300 years of history, and from which she is from. She holds the international sake certification WSET SAKE Level 3. While in college, she studied abroad in the UK and Portugal on an exchange program and MEXT scholarship program, where she has realized the fascinating aspects of the cultural and spiritual value of sake.

Rui Costa

Portuguese naval officer and researcher specializing in Naval Engineering

Lieutenant Rui Nuno Pereira Pinto da Costa is a Portuguese naval officer and researcher specializing in Naval Engineering, particularly unmanned surface vehicles and ship design. He joined the Portuguese Navy in 2013 and has focused on surface warship maintenance, repair projects, and unmanned surface vehicle research. He has served as a Damage Control Officer and Senior Engineer on the NRP Francisco de Almeida and NRP Vasco da Gama frigates. Lieutenant Costa participated in multinational exercises, NATO missions (including NATO SNMG1), and engineering projects like the mid-life upgrade of the NRP Francisco de Almeida. Additionally, he has researched unmanned surface vehicles and published articles at national and international conferences, covering the military industry, academia, and environmental applications of unmanned technologies. Lieutenant Costa is currently a Senior Naval Engineer in the Portuguese Navy, stationed on the NRP Vasco da Gama.
