Theme: Dare to Dream!

Our first Salon in Beirut was such an inspirational success, and we are extremely exciTED to share our next one with you in Byblos. Come on over to LAU Byblos and enjoy the TEDxLAU atmosphere.

The second event will also be in the format of a TEDx Salon. We will screen 3-4 TEDTalks and have discussions/activities after each.

We carefully selected the online TED Talks to portray the imaginative and creative potential that humanity is capable of exhibiting. Come on over to LAU and be part of this initiative where university students and professionals are inspired to work together and present creative, exciting new ideas. We do hope that these individual Salons will later lead to a full-blown event with live speakers at LAU this summer.

We are also planning to provide one bus from LAU Beirut to Byblos for those who'd like to attend. We'll keep you all updated.

It all starts with one idea. In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TED has created TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDxLAU, TEDTalks and activities will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

6:30 - Registration (Awesome music selected by our own student DJ)
7:00 - First remarkable screened TED Talk (One man's medical dream!)
7:40 - Second TED Talk (Bringing out the en gineer in you)

8:15 - Coffee Break - Mix and Mingle! Meet the addicTED crew.

8:30 - Third TED Talk (A time for DIY living)
8:45 - Fourth TED Talk (What's life without a sense of wonder?)

We're choosing not to disclose any more details... Just to keep you wanting more!
