In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Meet Karishhma Lamba, a professional specialized in Brand Promotions & Digital Marketing. Naman, a 10th-grade student and founder of Hari Koshish, is a passionate environmentalist determined to make a positive impact. Recognised as one of India's top three change-makers by TOI, Naman actively works on issues such as climate change, carbon capturing, wildlife and water conservation, and reducing carbon footprint. Naman's commitment to the environment led him to participate in the Global Climate Strike, advocating for immediate action to combat climate change. Naman participated in panel discussions with Save the Children and Let Me Breathe, and The Tale of Humankind Young Summit. He has won awards like Top Changemakers in UP by Dainik Jagran, The Just Right Kids Award's Pro Activist of the Earth Award by Pratyek. He's earnt notable achievements, including an invitation to interact with the UN USG of Peace through the YuWaah Initiative by UNICEF, and an opportunity to be in a panel discussion with The Environment Minister of Canada and Ms. Dia Mirza.

Rishi Narain

Asian Games Gold Medalist Indian Golfer
One of India’s best-known names in golf, Rishi Narain, has been a champion player, author, marketing expert and golf commentator for the past 30 years. He has been an Asian Games Gold Medalist for India in Golf and the National amateur champion at the junior men’s level and is currently playing at the senior level. In 2023, Mr Narain was the first Indian to be named nonplaying captain/manager of the Asia Pacific International Amateur Team. He was Awarded Asia Pacific Pioneer of Golf Award in 2019 and was named one of Asia’s 30 most powerful people in Golf Business by Asia Pacific Golf Summit and Golf Inc. magazine in 2015. Rishi Narain has Been the Tournament Director for every level at over 1000 golf tournaments and is the publisher and editor of India Golf Weekly. He hosted the daily TV show “European Golf Weekly” which aired for 10 years across India. He was a speaker at the KPMG World Golf Business Summit, Wales and at Asia Pacific Golf Summit which takes place annually.

Devasher’s work has been shown at the Rubin Museum, New York (2021-22), the Sea Art Festival, Busan (2021), Vienna Academy of Fine Art (2021), the Kunst Leuven City Festival (2021), the 14th Sharjah Biennial Leaching the Echo Chamber (2019), Kaserne Basel (2019) Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) (2018), 7th Moscow Biennial (2017), MAAT Museum of Art and Technology, Lisbon (2016), Bhai Daji Lad City Museum in Mumbai (2016,18), and the 5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennial (2014), among others. She is the recipient of the Connect India 2023 collaboration between Arts at CERN and Pro Helvetia New Delhi. Past residencies include Cove Park, Scotland (2022), The Open Data Institute in London (2021), the Spencer Museum of Art (2016), Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (2014), and the Anthropocene Campus II at the Haus der Kulteren der Welt in Berlin (2016). In 2018 she spent 26 days as an artist in residence on board an oil tanker as part of the Owners Cabin Residency Program.

Samir Nicholas Patham

Everest summiteer, MD, Adventure Pulse
Popularly known as 'Sam,' he completed his MBA in Human Resources from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune and worked for Infosys. He developed unique training modules for 'Personality & Skill Development' in an outdoor environment. Samir co-founded Adventure Pulse with his college room-mate, Sauraj Jhingan, to pursue their passion for climbing and mountaineering. He is a qualified mountaineer from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi, with extensive experience in trekking and climbing. Samir is invited as a Lead Facilitator in Multinational Companies for training workshops on Crisis Management and Situational Leadership. He is a qualified Advance Open-Water Scuba Diver with experience in India and Southeast Asia. Samir has led over 35 trekking groups to Everest Base Camp, and has led challenging high-altitude treks including Mount Kilimanjaro, Mt. Elbrus, and Amadablam. He has climbed three of the Seven Summits, including Mt. Everest in 2018.

Vimlendu Jha

Environmentalist, Founder, Sweccha
Vimlendu, an esteemed Indian environmentalist, founded Swechha in 2000, a prominent organization for sustainable development. With degrees from St. Stephen’s College and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, he is hailed as a top youth leader by India Today, Outlook, and the International Youth Foundation. Selected by CNN International's "Be the Change" program, Vimlendu's global impact reached over 100 million viewers. He collaborated with the UN, WWF, and the British Council, advocating for equity, justice, and sustainable human growth. As an advisor to UNEP, a member of the British Council's steering board, and a Girls Count board member, he addresses gender issues. Vimlendu has spoken at the UN General Assembly and given impactful TEDx talks on sustainability. A prolific writer, he contributes to various publications and is currently authoring a book for Penguin on the plight of River Yamuna.

Zayan ‎ ‎ ‎

Dalit Queer Activist, Senior Programme Coordinator, Nazariya
Zayan (he/him) identifies as a Dalit queer feminist who works at Nazariya QFRG as a Senior Programme Coordinator. He is a trained educator and has experience in teaching children, researching and analysing the field of education, and teacher education from the lens of gender and sexuality. He is one of the Rise Up fellows selected from India in the year 2021 and has been featured by The Times of India (2021) and The Washington Post (2023). He was a part of the International Trans Advocacy Week (TAW) in 2022 and was invited as an Asian Delegate to TAW this year. In 2023, he was also selected for the LBQ Connect programme by Outright International. He has published on platforms like The New Leam, The Teacher Plus, Contemporary Education Dialogues, and has recently written a children's storybook called Chintu's Shirt which is a story of a gender non-conforming child. In his free time, he loves to read and strum the strings of his guitar.
