In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ismael Belkhayat

Founder & CEO of Chari.co

Ismael Belkhayat is a serial founder who has become a very notable entrepreneur in the tech ecosystem. After his time in consulting at the Boston Consulting Group, Ismael founded two companies that would kickstart his entrepreneurial career: the Venture Builder Wib.co, a startup studio, and VotreChauffeur, a leading ground transportation company in Morocco later acquired by Avis Car Rental. After gaining significant traction and recognition, Ismael went on to found Sarouty, a marketplace that facilitates real estate deals, helping people to rent or buy property across Morocco. In 2020, Ismael and his wife co-founded Chari, a B2B e-commerce fintech app for retailers. Leaning on his deep expertise in logistics and marketplace, Ismael has grown Chari in size, users, and markets. Chari has succeeded in making its mark as a “Disruptor of the Year”, an award from the Africa CEO Forum, and shows positive signs of a potential unicorn status (a first for Morocco).

Tarik Haddi

Administrator and CEO of Azur Partners Honorary President and Administrator of AMIC Author of 'Gen J Generation: Innovation Made in Morocco' and President of the Jail Al Ibtikar Al Maghribi Foundation.

He served as the Treasury Manager of Crédit Agricole Group in Morocco from 1995. Over the years, he held various leadership positions, overseeing financial affairs, studies, and strategy, contributing to the bank's transformation and successful restructuring. In 2009, he ventured into entrepreneurship, founding AFOULKI INVEST, an incubator supporting innovative start-ups. In 2010, he established AZUR PARTNERS (AP), currently serving as its CEO. Under his guidance, AP successfully structured the NEBETOU Fund and facilitated the development and sale of TAJINI SA. Additionally, he actively participated in establishing the Innov Invest Fund and played a crucial role in the formation of a Public-Private Seed Fund for innovative startups, overseen by the World Bank. Since March 2020, he has been the President of the Management Board of Azur Innovation Fund, and he also presides over the Moroccan Association of Capital Investors.
