Aaditi Malhan
High school student
Hello Everyone, my name is Aaditi Malhan. I am a year 11 student at IAS Warsaw. My family originally comes from India, although I have resided in various countries around the globe. In all these years, after experiencing different ways of lives and interacting with different kinds of people, I have gotten to know how much every person, nation can give to the world . This observation has brought me to today’s topic for my dialogue; which is, The Economic Power shift: watch out, West! In which, I will be highlighting the Economics behind Power shift in the past decades. I hope to throw light on how much Asia, as a cluster of nations, can give to the world. Thank you.

Hi! My name is Aleksandra and I am the Lead Organizer of the first TEDxYouth@IAS event, as well as the website manager and a speaker. Last year, I came up with the idea of establishing a TEDx club at our school. Together with the help of my dear friend (who’s also a Lead Organizer), Milena Dederko, the administration, our wonderful teachers and students, we’ve made this idea of mine come true and are officially holding the conference. I am a 12th grade student in my second year of IBDP here at IAS. I’m passionate about a variety of topics, from geopolitics to nuclear physics, however I’m leaning towards majoring in power engineering in university. Apart from school, I like debating, playing chess and travelling. I can’t wait to you guys at our event!

Hi everyone, my name is Asya Ece Azgin, I am currently 16 and a 11th grader in International American School of Warsaw. I adore listening to Lana Del Rey's music and sketching random things on occasion. On weekends, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and watching horror movies. I love to watch historical and scientific documentaries on history, politics and the environment. I decided to attend to this club after seeing several TEDx speeches and was impressed by how confidently the presenters spoke. And I want to become one of them! My classmate, Giulia Ellero, and I will be addressing the powershift in the Roman Empire as Christianity began to flourish during our speech. I hope we can share some of our expertise with you and teach you about something extremely old yet very intriguing!
Giulia Ellero
High school student
Hello to everyone reading! My name is Giulia Ellero and I am a 16-year-old student attending the International American school of Warsaw. I really enjoy moving around and doing sports such as Martial Arts, weightlifting and skiing and I watch documentaries about history and nature! I joined this club because I watched various TED talks, even live, and I was fascinated at how freely and strongly the speakers spoke on stage. I knew I wanted to be strong enough to know about important matters and educate others about them. What my classmate and I will be talking about during our speech is the powershift in the Roman Empire when Christianity started developing. I hope we can transmit some of our knowledge to all of you and I hope you can learn about something very ancient but very interesting!
Glynnis Clarissa Balakrishnan
High school student
Hello! My name is Glynnis Clarissa Balakrishnan. I am 14 years old and am studying at the International American School of Warsaw in 9th grade. I was born in Chennai, India, but lived most of my life in abroad. I had a good opportunity to study in Texas, USA for 6 years. Currently, I am living in Warsaw, Poland and this is my 3rd year. From my young age, I had a passion to be the best speaker and would love to share my knowledge with others. I always put my best effort into presentations. As I had an opportunity to experience the different cultures, I am eager to talk about powershift. This will be on how powershift occurs throughout our life time and how it shapes us to be the person we are today. Am awaiting to share this experience with you and hope it would be useful and relatable!
Milena Dederko

Hi my name is Milena Dederko and I am the Leader Organizer of this year’s TEDxYOUTH@IAS event and a speaker. Last year, me and my co-organizer, Aleksandra Iwanczak came up with an idea to create a TEDXYOUTH club for IAS. Through this club we have hoped to meet new students, develop their speaking and research skills and in general to get to know each other and discuss various topics and issues. I am a 12th grade student and as it is my last year, I really wanted to give a chance for our wonderful students to show their skills and ambitions through our club. I am interested in humanities and usually explore topics connected to psychology or history. In my free time you can find me usually writing and drawing in my journal or reading different books. I am very excited to organize and take part in our TEXxYOUTH@IAS event! See you there!

Yu Ling
Middle school student
Hello everyone, my name is Yu Ling, I’m from China. I like to read, draw, and photography. At weekend, I will stay with my novels the whole day long, because reading is my favorite thing to do. I also have a cat, her name is Tammy, she is cute, fluffy, and really gentle. Well, although she is a little too fat, I still love to play with her. The topic I’m going to talk about is tobacco is a prohibited drug, how people’s manner of tobacco changed over time, and how will tobacco effect your future health, and your child’s health. I had chosen this topic because of an unpleasant experience I’ve had as a passive smoker.
