Enlightenment: the action of enlightening or the state of being enlightened.
TEDxYouth@Jamhour organized this second event to enlighten the Lebanese people and pursue the journey of our first event.
A succession of inspirational and informative talks, followed by talented performances have been presented to our audience.

I’m a 15 year old student at CNDJ trying to figure out life while balancing family issues, straight As, a crumbling social life and about a hundred extracurriculars. Although I would much rather stay in bed all day reading psychiatry-related books, I wake up every day and decide to overwork myself and push my limits.

Aya Charaf

Lebanese/Turkish dancer

I’m a 23 years old Lebanese/Turkish dancer , who completed her bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture at LAU. My passion for dance took over and after finishing my studies, I decided to make it my full time career. I started taking Classical Ballet classes at the age 5 and then moved on gradually to other styles such as Contemporary, Jazz and Hip-hop, heels and started giving dance classes at the age of 14.

Chawki Fakhoury

Program Officer as well as a Business Development officer

Hello my name is Chawki Fakhoury, I work with Berytech as a Program Officer as well as a Business Development officer with Born Global Foundation. My passion resides in innovation and social entrepreneurship. I am also an active member at the LRC, volunteering in the Gemayzeh sector as an EMT (emergency medical sector).

Elie Fahed

Elie is a Lebanese film director. He studied film making at the Lebanese University – Fine Arts Institute. He direct advertisements and fashion films for major brands in Lebanon and the MENA region, along side with that, he is currently directing music videos for independent artists from the region

When I was younger, all I cared about was football, but as I grew up my circle of interests started expanding to other social activities such as scouts & volunteering. From scout camps and biomimicry lessons, to leadership roles and internships, I learned some ways to master this balance between the different areas of my life.

I am a certified Spinning (Indoor Cycling) instructor and I l'ove the community we managed to build in our gym studio (Exhale Saifi). I strive to maintain my sense of humor at high stakes... Hello , my name is Raya Hage . I am Lebanese American ,17, currently senior at Collège Notre Dame de Jamhour . Being the youngest child of my family , I focused since my early years on music & dance that helped me fortify my body langage , a master key to good communication with my three older brothers . Joining scout, representing my class students for several years, being a guest observer at many surgical operations helped me discover the different aspects of the world and taught me how to embrace new fields with good balance and thus commit myself to futur plans the best way possible .
