In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anna Benner is a junior at Archmere Academy, and her talk will feature simple everyday ways to care for the environment and avoid feelings of "climate doom". Outside of Archmere's TEDxYouth group, Anna writes for the school newspaper and leads the Auks for the Earth environmental club at Archmere.

Cayli Carter is a senior at Archmere Academy, and her talk will focus on chromosome deletions in humans and how their effects often go unnoticed. In addition to her involvement with TEDxYouth@ArchmereAcademy, Cayli is a member of Archmere's drama club and Mastersingers.
