On Thursday, November 18 from 4:00-6:30 in Wyatt Hall, the four Bellarmine Honors seniors completing this semester will present their final projects. We’ll have the opportunity to hear from Chloe Powell, who traveled to the Dominican Republic and Kenya to learn about how microlending and group savings programs can empower communities and individuals across the globe; Zenia Nava, who investigated the mathematics behind GPS technology; Nathan Mayer, who conducted nanoscience /nanotechnology research as part of an internship through the Department of Energy at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee; and Kenny Kelley, who received a highly competitive Portz Interdisciplinary Fellowship through the National Collegiate Honors Council to fund an interdisciplinary art project that draws on their experience working with individuals in substance use recovery. Presentations will be followed by a reception in the McGrath Gallery, where attendees will have the chance to chat with presenters and experience Kenny’s art installation.
