In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Genevieve Murphy

She is a global educator and co-founder of Know My World, a global education nonprofit organization that focuses on social, emotional, and cultural learning, and MangaX Technology, an EdTech startup that uses AI technology and comic art to support the emotional well-being of students through digital journaling. She has taught in the United States, Japan, and Taiwan for the past 17 years. Most recently, she worked at the American School in Taichung from 2010-2022; initially as an elementary homeroom teacher and then later as the Social and Emotional Coordinator. She has presented professional development workshops in the United States, Japan, Nepal, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Borneo, and virtually.
