x = independently organized TED event

This event occurred on
November 29, 2022
Zürich, Zürich (de)
Switzerland

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Barbara Miller

Working on the Oscar-nominated documentary WAR PHOTOGRAPHER, she directed since 2001 over twenty acclaimed documentaries for Swiss National Television, ranging from the ANTI-GLOBALIZATION-MOVEMENT to DOMESTIC VIOLENCE and THE CLITORIS. Liliane Ableitner

Liliane is passionate about applying her business and software skills to advance the energy transition. In 2019, she graduated with a PhD in information systems from one of Europe’s most renowned universities - ETH Zurich. In 2020, she co-founded the startup Exnaton and was listed on the Forbes 30 under 30 list for young entrepreneurs.

Raquel Herzog

Born on a winter day in Switzerland Raquel always felt more comfortable in the south and has not settled for the comfortable life she was gifted by mere birth. Throughout her life, Raquel combined professional achievements with various personal passions such as opera and restoration of historic buildings. But the search stopped when she made a commitment to work for displaced women. Not because she thinks she can change the world, but because she believes that the world only changes if each one of us makes a small contribution to the larger picture. She has been doing that ever since she has founded SAO Association for displaced women in February 2016.
