Theme: The Greater Good

UVCE is hosting its first TEDx event on 23rd February 2023 at its 106 year old heritage campus at K.R.Circle, Bangalore. Our theme The Greater Good, is broad and overarching. It connects people who are streamlined with a purpose in life. The Greater Good is highly philosophical in nature, as it is beyond good and it gives thrust for humankind's wheel of progress and prosperity.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Started his journey in a company as an engineer who never gave up on his passion and through all the struggles !!! Arun is a Tedx speaker and his talk was called "Never Work a Day", the talk guides people on how one can follow their passion despite all the roadblocks and how one can take up their passion as their profession. He is a also a motivational speaker and has delivered his keynote in multiple colleges and shares his story on how to deal with "LOGH KYA KAHENGEY". He is the title winner of the biggest inter-corporate talent hunt Corporate Talent Championship where he showcased his beatboxing skills! Arun is a jack of all and master of FUN!

Dr Pavan Kumar P

Architect Planner

Dr. P. Pavan Kumar is an Architect Planner, with extensive research on alleviation of urban poor and in Smart Cities. Presently working as Chairman/HOD, Dept. of Architecture, UVCE is responsible converting UG department to PG and being recognized as Research Center for the first time since its inception from 1967. He is also responsible for managing the department's academic and administrative activities, overseeing faculty and staff, developing curriculum, and ensuring that students receive a high-quality education. With over 21+ years of experience, he has been an inspiration for many professionals in the field & his contributions to the field are considered to be of tremendous value that has helped to make the world a better place through the power of architecture and UrbaUrban Planning
