TEDxYildizTechnicalUniversityWomen event will be with you this year with the theme of "LEAD IT". With this theme, we will organize an event where women, who lead in many fields such as the business world, sports, art, music, and education, share their experiences. Leading women will talk about the difficulties they have faced along the way, the successes they have achieved, and their struggles that will set an example for us, and they will be a source of inspiration for our audience.

Beril Oymak
Chef
She was born on April 10, 1990, in Balikesir. She completed Maltepe University Business Administration department with a 100% scholarship. In 2011, she started to write a blog where she shared her own life, places she visited, and recipes she made during her university period. She went to Los Angeles in 2017 to become a professional in her field of interest. She took Raw food and Plantbased Cooking chef training at Plantlab Culinary. After returning from America, she became famous for her Raw cakes. She worked as a kitchen chef and kitchen manager for 3 years. She gave professional training to hundreds of people, such as Plant-Based Pastry and Artisanal Vegan Cheese. She transferred the cafe to her partner and founded her brand, Beryway, where she produces Artisan herbal cheese. Currently, she continues to produce content in that she shares plant-based recipes for many brands.Çiğdem Polatoğlu
Architect
She graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture in 1985. She graduated from Istanbul Technical University with the title of master architect in 1987 and doctorate in 1994. Since 1986, she has been working as a lecturer at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture, Department of Building Science. She worked as a jury member and in administrative duties in projects and competitions. Between 2013-2019, she worked as a consultant to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Survey Project Department and Urban Design Directorate, and between 2017-2019 in the UNESCO-Creative Cities Network/Istanbul Design City studies. She has been the President of INTBAU Turkey since 2018. She served as the Vice President of the Department of Architecture at the YTU Faculty of Architecture between 2007-2010 and as the Head of the Department of Architecture at the YTU Faculty of Architecture between the years 2017-2020.Deniz Sağdıç
Artist
Deniz Sağdıç was born in Mersin, Turkey. Her first productions for art are stained glass works that she performed in the glass workshop of her family at a young age. After high school, she won the Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department and graduated as the first of the faculty. From the early years of her art, she mastered different techniques such as sculpture, printing and engraving, mostly in oil, and produced works in the fields of video and new media. For many years, she has developed research and projects that problematize the place of women in society. She received a Master of Arts degree with projects and articles on this topic. She has worked and collaborated with various non-governmental institutions and organizations based on women. With the project she calls "Ready-ReMade“; she aims to rethink the ”consumption" habits by bringing together some objects that have Decayed into waste.Didem Karagenç
Turkey Women's National Football Team Captain
She was born on October 16, 1993 in Ankara. With the establishment of the women's football league, she transferred to Gazi University. Here she spent 6 seasons, 70 matches and scored 32 goals. In the 2012-2013 season, she transferred to Konak Belediyespor and won the championship in her first season with the team. In the 2013-2014 UEFA women's champions league, she made her debut in Turkey by advancing to the last 16 round and being eliminated in the last 8 round. In 2015, she transferred to Beşiktaş and promoted to the first league as undefeated champion in the 2015-2016 season. In the 2019- 2020 Season, Besiktas Women's Football team completed its season as the Turkish Champion and qualified for the Champions League. Since 2011, she has played 48 times for the A National Team and has appeared on the field a total of 108 times. She is one of the players who wears the most National Team jerseys. Motorcycle Racer
She graduated from Marmara University, Business Administration Department in English. She opened a cafe restaurant, and operated it for 3 years and bought her first motorcycle by the money she earned from the restaurant years along with her school life. In 2019, she was invited to audition for the Women's European Cup, the largest women's championship in the world,and won the audition. She won championships in the Turkish track championship and achieved good grades in motocross and enduro branches. Since there was no active female track racers other than herself in Turkey in the 2021 season, she has developed a project and paved the way for about 30 female athletes to meet and compete on tracks. After the 2021 season, she won the title of being the first female national motorcycle track racer in the history of Turkey.Sezen Sungur Saral

Sezen Sungur Saral is a graduate of Boğaziçi University and Harvard Business School. Whilst having a National Athlete career too, Saral established the Reeder brand by launching e-book technology to Turkey in 2010. Reeder, which has a female employee ratio of over 50%, is now one of Turkey's leading technology brands and the largest phone manufacturer. Sezen Sungur Saral, who was deemed worthy of the 'Women Entrepreneur of Turkey' award in 2018 and 2019, plays a significant role as a Member of the Board of Directors responsible for Sustainability and Innovation at Reeder, of which she is the founding partner. Embracing UNDP sustainability goals, Quality Education and Gender Equality, Saral provides education in the fields of science, technology and robotics to thousands of female students with “Kızlar Kodlar” project.Süeda Çil

She was born in Ankara in 1969 as the eldest child of a non-commissioned officer father and an officer mother.After her father's military service resignation, she settled in Istanbul at the age of 8. After studying economics at the university, she studied Theater acting at the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory. Since the first years of entering the conservatory, she has been an instructor in Municipal theaters and organizations.After the Conservatory and Master's degree, she studied Entrepreneurship by winning the 10,000 women entrepreneurs training program in 2011. She has also worked as a lecturer at many Universities. In 2017, she went to the U.S.A. for training, where she received trainings in public speaking, acting and drama at The Boston Institute and The Cambridge Center.
