Bangche Liu
As a candidate for Honors BA in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, I am a teaching assistant for introductory Microeconomics at UPenn and have been a tutor in relevant realms for the past three years. My primary research interests are market design theory and public economic policies. Currently, I am also a data analyst at Babybus Group in Fuzhou, China.
Non-professionally, I have been a public forum debate coach for over three years and was the chief executive of the United Debaters Society from 2020 to 2011.
Kunyang He
Independent filmmaker
Kunyang is a published writer, playwright, and independent filmmaker. He studied computer science at Wuhan University of Science & Technology before moving to the United Stated in 2007, where he studied creative writing and filmmaking. Beginning in 2009 when he founded his PVC Movie Studio, Kunyang has written and directed several short movies named Room Series and later his feature films Xu’s Little Lover I/II (2013, 2018), Xu: A Facetious Chinese (2014), Here Comes the Groom (2019), and Before Graduation (2020). Three of his movies have been enlisted and awarded in several film festivals including the Macau International Movie Festival (2019) and Hong Kong International Youth Film Festival (2020).

Xiaotian Gao

Xiaotian (Marcus) Gao has been in the field of international education for the past seven years first in the United States and then in China. After graduate school, Mr. Gao started working at a private boarding school called St. John’s Military School in Salina, KS, USA teaching English and Mandarin, where he also served as the Associate Director of International Admissions. In 2020, Mr. Gao went back to China to further pursue his passion for education through working as an English teacher at a renowned high school international program in Guangzhou. Mr. Gao’s humorous yet rigorous teaching style is well-loved by his students and colleagues. Instead of merely focusing on the class materials, Mr. Gao enjoys sharing his real-life experience of living overseas with his students to broaden their horizon and develop their global perspective.

Elaine, an incoming freshman at Northwestern University, is also a girl who likes writing down instantaneous thoughts, recording dreams, traveling, and rehearsing dance performances with friends. Outside of school, she has put most of her efforts into dancing, including Hip Hop, K-pop, and Jazz Funk. However, she doesn’t want to be tagged; instead, she wants to keep exploring new opportunities and possibilities.
