Theme: Women Empowerment

An evening to share “Ideas Worth Spreading” by Women achievers from various fields of art, education, law, and social work, TEDxYouth@JPS RanebennurWomen is intended to enthuse and energize the audience to revisit their ideas about the role of each group of people in the society and reflect on the need to work in unison to establish a progressive society. This event will bring together accomplished women to present new knowledge and novel thoughts and motivate young minds and inspire our guests to think deeply about self-awareness, promotion of gender sensitivity, good mental health practices, the role of art and culture to mould a healthy and happy society around us. The audience, a congregation of parents, educators, students, social workers, entrepreneurs, self-made leaders, and others, will have an opportunity to engage in a conversation and discuss the need for encouraging schools in practising these ideas to promote a progressive India. We hope that this event will motivate all our stakeholders and the larger community around us to use this global platform to get exposed to new ideas, share their innovative views with the outside world, and progress in their journey to live fulfilling life!

Dr.Ashwini N.V

Founder- Director: Muktha Foundation

Dr.Ashwini N.V is the founder-director of Muktha Foundation, an organization committed to preventing interpersonal violence and promoting mental health. She is also the curator of a project called 'Say Yes to Wellness. She is a Gold Medalist in Post Graduate Studies in Psychological Counselling and holds a Ph.D. in Psychology. She was earlier a faculty member in the Post Graduate Dept of Psychological Counselling/Psychology at Montfort College & Jain University. She is a counseling psychologist with practice and research interest in the area of intervention & prevention of interpersonal violence. She was recognized as one of the 100 ‘leaders under 30’ from across the globe for her idea titled ‘FOCUS formula to foster mental health in low & middle-income countries at the St.Gallen Symposium, in May 2015. Muktha Foundation was appreciated by Kailash Sathyarthi, Nobel Peace Prize Winner for its collaboration with Young Indians of Confederation of Indian Industries for Project - Masoom.

Currently, Executive Chairperson of Crimson Education, helping IB Diploma students wishing to secure admission to Indian Universities and have more than three decades of experience as an Academic specialist. She has driven growth & quality for India’s premier schools. She is a specialist in the Indian & International schooling system (K-12). Her Innovations include “Inquiry Learning, Student Voice & Choice, Student-led classrooms, Local to Global context, Concept driven classrooms” and she has trained 4000+ teachers and guided 33000+ students. When she was the IB Representative for South Asia & the number grew from 2 to 100+ IB Authorised Schools. She has served as a Member of the AISM, Member of the Fee Review Commission established by the Government of Maharashtra, a Member of FICCI Arise, and a Member of the Strategic Planning Committee of the Maharashtra International Board. She received Life Time Achievement Award from the South Asia IB Schools Association.

She advises on dispute resolution, real estate law, intellectual property rights, employment laws & general corporate law. She also has experience in litigation and has represented clients in several contentious cases before various courts including before the Supreme Court of India and the Bombay High Court. She has been acclaimed as a "Noted Lawyer" in the practice area of Real Estate – Chambers & Partners 2016. She was named 'Woman Legal Leader of the year' by Future Woman Leader Digital Summit & Awards 2022 and nominated in 4 categories for ALB Women in Law Awards, 2021. Ms.Saraswathy Ramamoorthy is Co-founder at Learning Matters, a Bengaluru-based edtech organization that is transforming the way teachers teach & students learn. An early childhood education (ECCE) expert by heart & passion, she has worked in the education domain as an educator & educationist for more than 20 years. Her core expertise is in designing & developing educational curricula & programs, teaching children, training teachers, as well as creating digital education products & programs. She has two M.S.Degrees from Purdue University, USA - one in Child Development & Family Studies & another in Special Education. She has learned, imbibed & implemented educational perspectives & pedagogical practices from many different philosophies & countries & beautifully blend the best of them all into her approach to & work in education & edtech. Saraswathy is also a proficient, skilled writer & public speaker. She is especially passionate about empowering and enabling women.

NEERAJA GANESH

Head: Education Initiatives at Aspire For Her

Neeraja Ganesh heads the Education Initiatives at Aspire For Her, an organisation with a vision to impact 1 million+ woman and add 5B$ to India’s GDP through increased participation of women in the workforce by 2025. She switched her career to work in the space of gender diversity after a successful career in the IT industry managing large teams, delivery of IT projects, Operational excellence, and customer delight for large banking captives for 25 years. Neeraja had served as the Director – Relationships at the National Education Society of Karnataka. She has also headed the JobsForHer Foundation. She has also been on the jury panel for many “Innovation” Competitions including the MIT Sloan School of Management, USA’s Inclusive Innovation Challenge. She received the "JobsForHerRising" award for "Women Professionals" in 2019 & "women in Education" in 2020, "Women in Impact Category" in 2021 & "Women’s Web Orange Flower" Award for Writing on Women at Work in 2020.

Veena Chikkanahalli Seshadri is a name associated with art, culture, social work, Bharatiya tradition, samskruta, & Bharatanatyam. An "A" Grade artist from Doordarshan, an Empanelled artist of ICCR, enlisted in FOI cell, Ministry of Culture Govt of India, & also a member of CID UNESCO, CCRT, and Zonal Cultural Centers, Veena has extensively performed on ICCR tour to Columbia, solo performances at Washington DC, USA, Sydney Australia, Mahatma Gandhi Cultural Center & ICC in Mauritius, London, Zurich, Latvia, Estonia, Spain, Germany, ICC Bangkok, Thailand, Doha, Dubai, Stroudsburg- USA, are to name a few that have gained appreciation and applauses for her deep understanding of Indian Philosophy that gets manifestation in her presentations. She has been honored with the title "Laasya Tandava Shivakala Shiromani" by Kailash Ashrama Mahasamsthana Trust "Nrutyashree" by the Ministry of Odisha and Ministry of I &B "Natya Mayuri" in Sadhana International Yoga & Art Festival, China.
