Aditi and Anuja Vaidya

Mountaineer sisters
Aditi Vaidya & Anuja Vaidya – Indian mountaineer sisters Aditi and Anuja hold the record of being the first Gujarati sisters to summit Mt. Everest, and the second sisters in the whole world to do so. To build their skills in mountaineering, they have pursued professional mountaineering courses from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi. They aim to complete the seven summits challenge, of which Anuja has already completed six while Aditi has completed three of them. Not only mountaineering, but the sister duo also have their heart in water sports. They have expertise in water skiing and have undertaken a PADI certified course in Scuba diving. Not leaving the sky aloof, they also have undertaken certification in Paragliding. Aditi & Anuja will take the stage at TEDxBistupur to share their adventurous life journey and make you think.. WHAT NEXT?

Ajoy Kumar

Doctor and Politician
Dr. Ajoy Kumar is currently the Country Head of JSS Medical Research India Pvt. Ltd., which is a drug discovery KPO. He has a meritorious track record and the experience of managing large business operations like those of Apollo Hospitals, Cumin Diesel, and Tata Sons. Ajoy is an MBBS holder from JIPMER, Pondicherry, with PG diplomas in business administration, hospital administration, and preventive and promotional healthcare. He has served in the Indian Police Service (IPS) as a Superintendent of Police, Patna. He also administered East Singhbhum, including the city of Jamshedpur, as Superintendent of Police. He was the recipient of the Police Gallantry Medal in 1988, the youngest IPS officer to get the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry. He is actively involved in politics and has held public office in the Jamshedpur constituency.

Amish Ved

Airline Pilot and Indian Sailing coach
Amish Ved is professionally an Airline Pilot from Mumbai. He is also a volunteer sailing coach and a mentor who specializes in youth development through competitive sailing. A former world Champion himself, Amish has been actively coaching and mentoring sailors of all ages for over 30 years. Following his second Asian Games medal as a coach in 2018, Amish has been actively working on a youth development program. He coaches young sailors to learn life skills through the sport at a competitive level nationally, as well as internationally! He has curated a competency-based sailing development program to mentor sailors as well as coaches to foster their development from scratch for the international level and with an aspiration to identify and groom our several future Olympic Champions.

Biren Bhuta

Founder - Disom, Leadership School
Biren is the Founder Director of Disom Foundation, which runs Disom - The Leadership School, which is an experiment to reimagine leadership in our public spaces by nurturing leaders who are guided by an inner voice, and believe in deep democracy and seva bhaav. Biren embarked on his career as a banker in Chennai. He gave it up to cut his teeth as a broadcast journalist with NDTV. Biren’s longest stint has been with Tata Steel, as the Chief of Corporate Social Responsibility till 2018. It led him to create a hallmark — an international tribal identity conclave called Samvaad, which is a robust mobilization even today. An alumnus of IIM-Calcutta, a fellow of the Management Development Programme of Ross Business School, Michigan, and a recipient of the Gurukul Fellowship from the Foundation for Universal Responsibility of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Biren serves on the board of Gram Vikas in Odisha, Bhasha Research and Publication Centre in Gujarat, and SeSTA in Assam.

Nupur Tandon

A World without landfill
Nupur , someone who ran on the tracks of Allahabad in her school days as an athlete in her, continues to run the tracks even now, however these tracks are towards the goal of creating social and environmental change. After spending considerable time as business development professional, in Paris and Delhi, she took to her calling of clearing the earth up, in her own way. In 2012, Nupur conceptualized & started Pro Waste Concepts with the vision of creating a future without landfills. Pro waste is beyond just providing services; They serve as “change Makers” towards improving the waste management practices using an holistic approach integrated with technology. Nupur has successfully crafted many zero waste campuses out of institutions who had no clue what to do with their waste and has managed to divert about 70 tonnes of waste out of the landfills.

Priya Munshi

Tech evangelist
Priya currently handles tech business across Europe for multiple countries and is based out of Amsterdam. In her software industry career, she has been part of multiple projects through which she established her credibility across multiple opportunities and proudly represent India at various technology forums. She has been recognized multiple times across Europe for “Women in business inspiring youth” by CRN channel awards. She believes that the right support at right time can change lives and her contribution towards women in technology can be gauged through her leadership as the current company’s WIT(women in technology) operation and strategy co-chair. She has also represented her “beauty n brain” at Mrs India World 22 and is one of the top 20 finalists. The pageant participation has been about bringing societal change and breaking the stigma.

Raghuveer Surupa

Medical device for Cancer patients
Raghuveer Surupa – an entrepreneur, a visionary and an empath. He started his entrepreneurship journey at a young age while he was still a product manager at a leading pharmaceutical company. Working with oncology patients day in and day out drove him to build a startup that would improvie their treatment experience. Raghuveer went on to found Stemtech Medical Devices which has designed and developed India’s first scalp cooling system. This device reduces hair loss caused by chemotherapy, significantly improving patients experience as well as emotional well being during treatment.In a country like India, where early stage investing is yet to grow, starting a hardware company, that too in a heavily regulated medical device space presented several obstacles. Raghuveer navigated several professional as well as personal challenges in his start up journey.

Rajiv Ranjan Mishra

Former Director Namami Gange
An alumnus of IIT Kanpur, Rajiv joined IAS in 1987. He has served as the Director General of National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) in the rank of Secretary to Government of India and spearheaded Namami Gange programme from 2018 till Dec 2021. He has also contributed to shaping of government policy for Ganga rejenuvation in such an impactful manner that it has also inspired rejenuvation efforts for other rivers. His most recent effort in this direction is a book titled 'Ganga: Reimagining, Rejuvenating, Reconnecting', which is co-authored by him. He has been given lifetime achievement award for his contribution to the water sector by Water Digest. His work & leadership has been recognized & awarded throughout the world for his contribution. He continues to be a river champion and sustainability warrior even after his superannuation sharing his experience and at advising several institutions.

Rambabu Sharma

Social Enterpreneur
Rambabu is the founder of Youth Empowerment Foundation (yefindia.org) which aims at educating underprivileged children and providing skill training to youth in order to make them self-reliant. Rambabu has done power engineering from NPTI, Delhi, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. He is currently working in a German MNC. His story is of determination, self-improvement and community empowerment. Getting proper education was not easy for Rambabu, it was a journey encompassed by years of struggle, so he decided to make other’s life easier. He says that this society is our family and our every single action creates an impact on it that we should never forget. We should always take a social responsibility as it strengthens us to do better of this transient life; it helps us get rid of our own problems when we think for others.

Rashi Jamuar

Radio Jockey
Rashi currently works as a Radio Jockey with Big FM Ranchi, hosting the morning prime time. She has worked as a marketing & communication specialist with various organizations and ad agencies, for over 18 years. She believes that storytelling is a very powerful tool. While it may not change the world at once, it starts a thought process which has the power to start a conversation or even change the narrative. Storytelling enables her to connect with people and encourage them to come forward and take charge of their life, especially women. An avid traveler and biker, Rashi has has toured across the country, lived in Leh for an year, worked across different cities and can even speak in 8 Indian languages. She aspires to assist girls in her region to develop good communication skills, so that they can tell their stories to the world without the fear of validation.

Sumit Kutani

Handpan player and Founder,Kutani Handpan Academy
Sumit Kutani, aka Baba Kutani, is a handpan player with vast experience of performing at the national and international levels who loves to play his hang drum by the banks of the River Ganga. He founded the Kutani Handpan Academy in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. From music and film festivals to working with established bands, he has taken the handpan community to a space beyond alternative music and has worked effortlessly to mainstream the instrument. His projects in the future are focused on collaborations and helping handpan music reach the masses. He wants to build a school in the Himalayas for the underprivileged kids of Uttarakhand.
