Inspired by Salim Ali, the Indian Ornithologist, Rajlaxmi Pingle a young girl started studying birds in their natural habitat when she was just five. She is a bird photographer too. Her interest in rare species led her to a design a campaign to spread awareness about birds getting extinct.

Tanmay Parikh is a class 12 student at Centre Point School, Nagpur, aspiring to become a chemical
engineer. At 17 years of age, he is a determined environmentalist with plans to contribute positively
towards the earth’s environment and to help save the planet we inhabit. He has researched deeply into
the use of nanoparticles to make the carbon capture, utilisation and sequestration (CCUS) process
more feasible and an innovative method which at lab scale showed encouraging results.
