Every day, we face small and big challenges that lead us to reflect, decide, act and embrace a vision.

The questions that we ask shape dramatically the way we see ourselves. They also create a plurality of new challenges and opinions that can lead to an uneven and indented development. For this reason, only by sharing these questions with an increasingly interconnected community can we define strong concepts and promote decisive actions.

Today, we are facing social and environmental challenges; some new, some have been long known, and some have resurfaced when we thought they were completely gone. The scope and ambition of any new project must come to terms with the need to heal, contemplate, find new energy and integrate a collective vision.

How do we see ourselves today? Where do we start to craft the narrative of a comprehensive and shared future? How do we see ourselves today? What will we become tomorrow? What resources generate innovation through sustainable change?

This year, the brilliant minds and inspiring talks of our speakers will dive into the different fields that contribute to the definition of a possible future.

A path to take as people, communities and human beings towards the construction of a plural, inclusive and progress-oriented future.

Alessandro Di Tizio

Gastronomico ed etnobotanico

Con Alessandro Di Tizio si va alla ricerca di piante spontanee – selvatiche – per riappropriarci di un’alimentazione sana, consapevole e libera: in equilibrio con la natura. Forager e Food Scouter nel laboratorio di Ricerca e Sviluppo del ristorante Mirazur di Mentone (Francia), una parte del suo lavoro consiste nell’esplorare le culture gastronomiche e recuperare quell’enorme patrimonio di conoscenze e tradizioni che rischiano di essere dimenticate per sempre. Laureato nel 2010 con una tesi di ricerca etnobotanica presso l’Università di Scienze Gastronomiche di Pollenzo, insegna Foraging in due Master dell’Università di Pollenzo e tiene corsi sulla raccolta e la cucina con erbe selvatiche in Italia e all’estero.

Elio Marchesini

Musicista

Elio Marchesini è un musicista eclettico, capace di spaziare tra le arti e connetterle tra loro. Il suo è un repertorio vastissimo che va dalla musica classica alle avanguardie musicali, dalla musica leggera alla musica etnica. Questo atteggiamento nei confronti dell’arte sonora lo porta a lavorare con enti lirici e sinfonici quali il Teatro alla Scala e l’Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI, ma anche con formazioni cameristiche come il Contemporartensemble o il gruppo di percussioni Naqquara. Nella musica leggera ha lavorato con Lucio Dalla, Roberto Vecchioni, i JetLag, Gennaro Cosmo Parlato e con il chitarrista dei BluVertigo Livio Magnini. In ambito jazzistico collabora con importanti musicisti del panorama milanese

Giuseppe Licari

Artista

Giuseppe Licari è un artista multidisciplinare: tra le sue opere ci sono installazioni, performance, workshop, arte pubblica, registrazioni audio-video e pubblicazioni. Con la sua arte esplora i processi socioeconomici, culturali e politici che intervengono e alterano la forma dei paesaggi contemporanei. Si concentra sul confine tra mondo naturale e ambiente costruito, esplorando i territori che emergono dal loro incontro. Ha collaborato a diversi progetti di ricerca con realtà come il Natuurhistorisch Museum di Rotterdam, la Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, la TU Delft e il Politecnico di Milano. I suoi lavori sono stati esposti in contesti internazionali come i Ming Studios di Boise, la Tent di Rotterdam, il Museum Sinclair-Haus di Bad Homburg, il Museum Schloss Moyland, la State Tetryakov Gallery di Mosca, il Japanese Palace di Dresda e l’Action Field Kodra di Thessaloniki.

Hadia Ibrahim Khel

Attivista

Hadia Ibrahim Khel is a 22-year-old graduate student of International Masters in Anti Corruption at IACA. She holds a bachelor degree in Economics at Kabul University. She is a Human Rights Defender, a Global Peace Ambassador, author of many published research papers and a storyteller. She has been actively participating in youth involvement programs for peacekeeping and she led several awareness campaigns about peace and stability. In the past few years, she has consistently engaged in national and international debates as a Women Rights Defender. She worked as librarian to Kabul University, as a Coordinator of Cultural programs in LLCKU US embassy’s public affairs, a freelance journalist and social media specialist with SRK foundation in US and recently as crowdfunding campaign manager with humanitarian NGOs in Afghanistan. She has been researching, surveying and advising for women’s rights for over six years, helping hundreds of people with her actions.

Hannah Bagdasar

Lead Investigator, Global Authentication Project

Hannah Bagdasar is the lead investigator for Bellingcat’s Global Authentication Project and an investigator in its Justice & Accountability Unit. Before Bellingcat, Hannah worked as an analyst at the United Nations Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar. Hannah got her start in open source investigations in 2016 at UC Berkeley’s Investigations Lab, since then she has spent the last six years working with online open source content in different capacities, including in international criminal investigations, combatting disinformation and misinformation within the context of elections, and researching the use of open source information as evidence in criminal trials. Hannah’s passion lies at the intersection of technology, law, and human rights. She holds an LL.M in International and Comparative Law from the University of Helsinki and a bachelor’s in Legal Studies from the UC Berkeley.

Kenton Rogers

Urban forester

Kenton Rogers is an Urban Forester, co founder of Treeconomics and author of the Haynes 'Home owners Tree Manual'. Since 2011 he has been focused on a benefits based approach to urban forest management. Rather than managing trees as liabilities, in the context of hazard and risk, as is so often the case, Kenton has been advocating for trees to be viewed as (in)valuable assets delivering many crucial public goods. Trees are the front line defence against climate change in our towns and cities, but we need more of them and they need much better care. Kenton has a Master’s in Forest Ecosystem Management and led the first Urban Forest Valuation in the UK. He has written articles and scientific papers on the role and benefits of trees and has presented to the UK Government, the World Bank and the UNECE on these topics. Kenton was also a contributing author on the Urban section of UK National Ecosystem Assessment and the Springer Handbook on ‘The Urban Forest’.

Matteo Lancini

Psicologo e psicoterapeuta

Matteo è presidente della Fondazione “Minotauro” di Milano, che gestisce un centro clinico di consultazione e una scuola di specializzazione in psicoterapia psicoanalitica per l’adolescente e il giovane adulto. È autore di numerose pubblicazioni e i suoi titoli dicono molto del suo impegno verso l’adolescenza, in un contesto esteso alle relazioni digitali. Due titoli per tutti: “L’età tradita. Oltre i luoghi comuni sugli adolescenti” (Raffaello Cortina, 2021) e “Figli di internet. Come aiutarli a crescere tra narcisismo, sexting, cyberbullismo e ritiro sociale” (con L. Cirillo, Erickson, 2022). È docente presso il Dipartimento di Psicologia dell’Università Milano-Bicocca e presso la Facoltà di Scienze della formazione dell’Università Cattolica di Milano.

Michael O' Flaherty

Direttore dell'Agenzia dell'Unione Europea per i diritti fondamentali

Michael O’Flaherty is Director of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights. Previously, Michael O'Flaherty was Established Professor of Human Rights Law and Director of the Irish Centre for Human Rights at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He has served as Chief Commissioner of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, Member of the UN Human Rights Committee and head of a number of UN Human Rights Field Operations. He was also chairman of the Irish Penal Reform Trust and deputy chairman of the Universal Rights Group. O'Flaherty received a doctorate of law from the National University of Ireland, as well as degrees in international relations, philosophy and theology.

Rachele Didero

Designer e imprenditrice

Rachele is a fashion and textile designer. During her studies in Milan, New York, and Tel Aviv, she developed and patented a textile to shield facial recognition. With her Ph.D. at Politecnico di Milano and with a fashion tech startup, Cap_able, this research keeps growing. Rachele Didero wants to address the issue of privacy with the Manifesto Collection. The goal is twofold: to protect facial biometric data and create awareness of the improper use of facial recognition technology, a problem which, if neglected, could freeze the rights of the individual.

Sevhil Musaieva

Chief-editor di Ukrainska Pravda

Sevhil Musaieva is editor-in-chief of Ukrainska Pravda, Ukraine’s leading independent online newspaper covering politics, economics, and culture – and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. After Russia started its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Musaieva mobilized her team to deliver truthful and unbiased reporting to their audiences, which increased manyfold in the first days and weeks of the war. She launched the English-language version of the outlet – whose name means “Ukrainian Truth” – to respond to international demand for factual and timely information on and from Ukraine. Musaieva was a 2019 Harvard University Nieman Fellow and is a six-time winner of the Presszvanie prize for economic journalism in Ukraine. She also received the Anthony Moskalenko Memorial Award for her contribution to the development of Ukrainian journalism, and Time magazine featured her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2022.

Silvia Polleri

Imprenditrice sociale

Silvia è stata per molti anni educatrice nelle scuole materne e poi libera professionista tra pubbliche relazioni e catering. Oggi è presidente della Cooperativa Sociale ONLUS Abc la sapienza in tavola presso il Carcere di Bollate. Nel 2003 inizia la collaborazione con la II casa di reclusione Mi-Bollate e nel 2004 fonda la Cooperativa di cui oggi è presidente e per la quale lavora a tempo pieno con detenuti ed esterni. Il suo impegno ha un obiettivo importante: ridurre la recidiva e favorire il reinserimento dei detenuti nella società esterna al termine della pena. Impegno che si concretizza in progetti come “Adotta un allievo alla Scuola alberghiera”, per favorire l’ingresso di un ciclo scolastico in carcere, o il famoso “InGalera, il ristorante del Carcere più stellato d’Italia”, con cuochi e camerieri detenuti, per clienti esterni.
