Theme: Disability. Beyond the Label

This event occurred on
June 9, 2022
Brisbane, Queensland
Australia

This Salon welcomes a panel of health professionals to unpack the idea of what it is to be 'disabled,' defining disability, and how to have conversations about disabilities.

The program will include a range of speakers sharing their ideas, experiences and feelings of what it means to be ‘disabled’ and how the ‘disability’ label may change how they are perceived by society.

Through sharing these experiences, we aim to open a dialogue and engage you to share ideas for normalising disability. We have the power to create a better society for all, by breaking down barriers and removing stigma attached to the ‘disability’ label.
