In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Keeley Gallaugher

Coordinator of Community Health at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital

Keeley Gallaugher serves as the Coordinator of Community Health at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital and holds a master's degree in Public Health. In this role, she strives toweards addresssing social determinants of health through social, economic, and behaviorial health needs of at-risk populations to improve overall health and well-being of residents in the community. In this capacity, she coordinates and implements community health activities that align with the community health needs assessment and selected priorities. Keeley currently serves on the board of directors of BStrong Together and leads the Healthier Barrington Coalition through the Barrington study every five years. She currently resides in Lake In The Hills, IL with her husband and three children.

Mary Rachel Taylor

Executive Director of Walk On Equine Therapy

Mary joins us from North Carolina, where she founded and directed the Foscoe Food Bank after seeing a great need in her local community. She has previously worked in marketing and public relations, volunteer coordination, donation intake, sales, event organizing, and much more. Mary Rachel has her Masters degree in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University. In her down time she loves to play music and watch hockey.

Russ Riendeau

Russ Riendeau, PhD, is in constant pursuit of researching the creative process’ impact on our happiness and satisfaction in life—and sharing his research and experiments via multiple mediums. He is one of less than 500 professionals in the world that are a Mayo Clinic trained & certified wellness coach with doctorate in educational psychology and a certificate in applied neuroscience. A multiple TEDx Talks presenter, artist, sculptor, composer, author of 13 books covering many genres, 7 albums of original music, he’s also written over 600 published articles and papers over the past 4 decades on psychology-related topics. His public sculptures can be seen in front of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital and the Mayo Clinic’s Phoenix Campus. Russ is also senior partner of New Frontier Search Company and founder of Wellnessity Inc. As a longtime resident of Barrington, he and his wife, Cheryl, have two grown and married with their own children.
