Alyssa Yoon
Adolfo Camarillo High School Student
Alyssa Yoon is a 17-year-old senior in high school from Ventura County. She has been playing piano for about ten years but has always been surrounded by music as her siblings played throughout her childhood. Alyssa's piano lessons have benefitted her from a very young age, teaching her about the cultural background of pieces and how music applies to life. Some of her other passions include playing tennis and being involved in various clubs around her high school. Alyssa would like to maintain her extracurriculars as she continues her education in college, gaining skills that she will use to aid other individuals.
Bryce Damon
Rancho Campana High School Student
Bryce Damon, a 16-year-old Junior born and raised in California, goes to Rancho Campana High School. He can be good at many things, but then choose not to pursue them until it’s too late. Throughout it all though, Bryce has been sure of one thing: People. He has always thrived on connection and hopes to go into his experiences jumping from the worst time in his life to the best, all thanks to such supportive friends around him. Bryce hopes to encourage others to care more about their relationships and understand their importance in one’s growth.
Carlos Valencia
Adolfo Camarillo High School Student
Carlos Valencia, born in Camarillo California, dreams of inspiring the world and the people around it. He is 15 years old and a Junior attending Adolfo Camarillo High School. Carlos is the president of the Robotics Club and Publicity Chair of his school's Red Cross. Carlos has volunteered at various events throughout the state, most notably at Foodshare where during the height of the pandemic he served food to those in need. In 2022 he was awarded the Bronze Volunteer Award from the American Red Cross for his significant volunteer contributions. Carlos plans on learning more about Supersonic Flight and how to develop adequate education for future generations. He hopes to design solutions to the world's pressing issues in climate and the lives of elderly people. Carlos enjoys playing soccer and is on his high school soccer team. He hopes to spread a sincere message about how education, small decisions in your life, and the capabilities of humankind can reshape the world as we know it.
Maya Yates
Rancho Campana High School Student
Maya Yates is a 17-year-old senior from Southern California. She is involved with KIWIN’S at the District level, as well as HOSA and various mental health programs at school. Outside of school, Maya works and is a girl scout, which has helped her develop a passion for wanting to help others. Specifically, helping others with their mental health is a focus of Maya’s, which is why this topic is so important to her. In her free time, Maya enjoys cooking, working out, and being with her family and friends. As an adult, Maya aspires to combine her passions for helping the community and her interest in medicine, hoping to become a doctor.
Nandini Patro
Newbury Park High School Student
Nandini Patro is 16 years old, a junior at Newbury Park High School, California. Nandini has been passionate about sharing her story for other South Asian girls who will probably relate to her struggle through a journey of pressure and ultimately acceptance. She enjoys: reading, music, working out and going to the beach. One day she would love to explore the field of law and follow her passion for speaking her mind and making her voice heard.

Paris Wisemon a 16-year-old Junior from Southern California. She has been passionate about advocating for self love and encouraging people to see their true beauty that lies within. It is her hope to inspire her generation to be aware of how social media has the power to enhance unrealistic ideals of beauty. She enjoys: reading, being of service to her community, and spending time with her family. One day she hopes to use her passion for healthcare and equity to become a doctor and provide quality healthcare services to communities in need.
Phu Tran
Rancho Campana High School Student
Phu Tran, a 15-years-old Sophomore living in Southern California. He is passionate about helping people because helping people is something that has already been engraved in his DNA. Hence, he puts other people's well-being above his. With the opportunity of TEDx, he wants to provide the audience with a motivational speech about his own life and the struggle he had to go through in order to achieve what he had achieved. Hopefully, his story would be able to impact people's lives. He loves playing soccer and is currently an intern at Oxnard Free Clinic. He hopes to be able to become a doctor in the future so that he can help poor people from all over the world who are struggling.
Sophia Emens

Sophia Emens, a 16-year-old Junior from Southern California, is passionate about pen palling. By incorporating artistic designs on her letters to post to social media platforms, she's found community with other like-minded artists and intellectuals. With countless pen pals across the globe, she hopes to inspire others to strive to make lifelong and enriching connections in our fast-paced digital world. She is actively pursuing an undergrad degree in anthropology to better understand human progress both archaically and in the modern day.
