Arjun Alva
Arjun Alva is a 9th grader at Skyline High School in Ann Arbor. Arjun loves math and is involved in many applied math and computational biology projects. He also loves to write books. Arjun has written and published 3 books and is currently writing his 4th. He also loves participating in debate and speech competitions, olympiads, and contributing his writings to the school annual magazine. During his free time Arjun loves playing chess and basketball with his brother.
Jessie Tai
Jessie Tai is the founder of a non-profit named Inno. She enjoys working with kids and wants to show kids how learning can be fun.
Julia Mei
Julia Mei is a student at SKyline High School who is a member of the orchestra and cross country team, as well as many clubs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching shows, and going on walks. She is excited to share her Tedx Talk and meet other motivated students.
Meera Pandey
Meera is a 9th grader at Greenhills School. Her talk is about the ByKids4Kids nonprofit organization she helped establish in 2017. ByKids4Kids mission is to serve all youth and inspire change in the world. During the pandemic she helped create a virtual reading buddy program. Her talk will describe how ByKids4Kids pivoted amidst COVID-19 and proved that youth can create change in the world. During her free time she plays field hockey and tennis, and enjoys watching football with her family.
Tanay Panja
Tanay is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Ann Arbor who has a passion for combining technology, math, and science to serve individuals and communities. He has won the grand prize in the Detroit science and engineering fair's technology and robotics division the last two years. In addition, he is a three-time American Computer Science League national qualifier and qualified for the USA Computing Olympiad Silver Division.
Valentina Lamarca
Valentina La Marca is an 11th grader at Skyline High School. She pursues science and enjoys a challenging academic setting. She is passionate about outreach and leads in academic programs at her school, such as being Vice President to the Academic Connections student council at Skyline. She hopes to share this passion with others as well through her talk.
