Jen-Kun Yeh
Artist
Yeh Jen-Kun graduated from the Ink Painting Group of the National Taipei University of the Arts' Master of Fine Arts Creation Class. He has participated in many exhibitions held in top art institutions. He used to be an artist participating in "2014 Taiwan Biennale". In the same year, he participated in "Art Taipei-Recommended Special Zone for Newcomers". In 2021, he won the "Next Art Tainan" award. In 2022, he became one of the organizer's of the exhibition "伏線" at Eslite Gallery in Taipei.
He's works combine traditional ink painting and oriental glue painting techniques to depict the urban skyscape, explore the relationship between individuals and the city, dig out the emotional memory between himself and the living space, and explain the alienation and loneliness that the metropolis gave him.
Director
The founder, director and head of the "Our Theatre"(阮劇團) in Chiayi, Taiwan. He is also the founder of the theater "New Chiayi Theater" in Chiayi.
While studying at the Taipei University of Arts, he returned to his hometown to found the Our Theatre, and led the troupe back to his hometown, Chiayi, to write and promote drama in the language of Taiwanese.
In recent years, he has devoted himself to creating "Taiwanese dramas in the new era". He combines local cultural characteristics and experimenting with a different perspective from the city in southern Taiwan on drama creation. He has also considered about to use drama to connect Taiwanese languages and culture with other cultures in the world.
Kuo-Chun Chiu
Associate Professor at Kun Shan University, Tainan, Taiwan.
Chiu Kuo-Chun received his MFA in Fine Art Photography from the State University of New York, New Paltz, NY, in 1997. He is now an Associate Professor at Kun Shan University, Tainan, Taiwan. He has exhibited his work in many solo and group exhibition in Taiwan as well as in China, Japan and the USA.
Chiu, Kuo-Chun concentrates on representing another side of Taiwan environment and culture with multi-mediums or photo-image. He tries to challenge the values of the capitalist sociality. Under his different concept, Kuo-Chun usually crossed the different field and try different ways to present his concept, and given the viewers various possibilities of art experience.
Architect
Kuo Ping-Wei is the main architect of "Bio architecture Formosana" in Taipei, Taiwan, and the lead architect of the Tainan Branch. He holds a master's degree in architecture from Columbia University. He worked in a profession in Johannesburg and New York City before. He is currently a practicing architect in Taiwan and was a part-time lecturer at National Cheng Kung University. His main achievements in Taiwan include green energy buildings, circular housing, and the athletes' village for the XXIX Summer Universiade in Taipei in 2017. His also got accomplishment abroad like (1) Tulabaeva Park Residential Development in Almaty, Kazakhstan. (2) Braamfontein urban regeneration project and (3) Sci-Bono Science and Discovery Centre in Johannesburg.
Xing-Ru Wu
Technician as assistant professor of the Department of Early Childhood Educare in Tainan University of Technology
Wu Xing-Ru holds a master's degree in music art education from Summit University. She has a professional background in piano, vocal music, music aesthetic education and music therapy. She has taught at university for more than 20 years and has published many professional books on children's expressive art education, music therapy, etc. , and has also branched out into related teaching such as early treatment of special education, music therapy and health care for elder, mindfulness and meditation education. In recent years, she has been invited to China to engage in professional teacher training for early childhood education and the elderly industry market.
