Baljeet Kaur Bharti

Baljeet Kaur became the first (and only) Indian to climb five 8000 meter peaks in a single season. She also took fitness classes online during lockdown to chase her mountaineering dream. In addition, she is also a Raksha Mantri Awardee. Her father is a bus driver and there even was a point when her mother had to sell jewelry to support her expeditions. She ran a crowdfunding campaign to support her dreams and did not let anything deter her. Her first tryst with mountaineering was at 20, during an NCC camp. Since then, there has been no looking back. She has summited Mt. Annapurna I, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Everest, and Mt. Lhotse in less than a month. She is one of the first Indian women to summit the 7161 metre high Mt. Pumori. She is also the first Indian female mountaineer to climb the 8167 metre high Mt. Dhaulagiri. For her, she is never lost in the mountains, it is where she finds herself. She truly is the 'mountain daughter'

Capt. Dharamveer chose the Army over any other profession. The journey after his Short Service Commission experience had just begun, he enrolled in a post-graduation course with NMIMS and set foot in Corporate life to head on to many leadership roles for 8-9 years. Lt. Gen. Iqbal Singh Singha

Lt Gen Iqbal Singh Singha, a graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Higher Command Course and National Defence College; retired as a Director General at Army Headquarters. He has been seconded to United Nations Peacekeeping twice, once as a Colonel in Ethiopia and Eritrea (UNMEE) and second as Head of the Mission and Force Commander in Syria and Israel (UNDOF), being the first Indian to do so. He has also addressed the Security Council, Group of 77 and C-34 on situation in the Middle East. With a four decade experience in Conflict Resolution and Conflict Management, he is currently the Director Global and Government Affairs at TAC Security, a top global cyber security which has a partnership with USI of India. Shariq Mustafa is today the 5th generation Tabla player of the Thirakwa lineage. He is an Indian tabla player and hails from the Farukhabad gharana. Shovana Narayan, a name synonymous with Kathak, is the celebrated outstanding doyen of this art form. She breathes the spirit and ethos of Indian spirituality, classicism and artistic excellence. For her outstanding, consistent and trend-setting pioneering works in Kathak, she has been awarded the prestigious national awards of Padmashri Award by the President of India in 1992, the Sangeet Natak Akademi award for 1999-2000 in 2001, and state awards of Delhi Govt’s Parishad Samman 1993 and the Bihar Govt’s Rashtriya Samman Award for 2018-19 in 2001. Recipient of over 40 national and international awards, they also include Japan’s OISCA Award, Bihar Gaurav Award etc. She has been conferred the Doctor of Literature degree (HC) besides holding 2 (two) MPhil degrees (Defence & Strategic Studies and in Social Sciences), and a Master’s degree in Physics. She was also shortlisted for the Distinguished Alumni Award, University of Delhi, 1997.
