Theme: Dream Big With Big Dreamers

The future does not take shape on its own. The best thing you can do is take control by daring to believe in your dreams. Anything is possible when you follow your dreams, you think. We are very excited to host our first-ever TEDx talks on our school premises. The theme of our TEDxYouth@CIDERIntlSchool event is "Dream big with big dreamers." We want to recognize the strength and potential of all dreamers worldwide. We're all daydreamers. Let us now make those dreams a reality.
We will have outstanding guest speakers and performers who will share the stories of their dreams about dreaming big, breaking out of shells, overcoming obstacles, and making their dreams come true.

Mr. Krishna Pada Roy

Commissioner, Chattogram Metropolitan Police

Born in a dignified family in Tamashpur, Nabiganj, Habiganj, Krishna Pada Roy, BPM (Bar), PPM (Bar) joined Bangladesh Civil service (BCS) in 1995 to embark on a career in Bangladesh Police. In pursuance of academic excellence and professional skills, he attended several foreign orientations. His previous designations include Assistant Commissioner, CMP, Superintendent of Police, Sherpur, Special Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Superintendent of Police, Chandpur, Additional Police Commissioner, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, and many other capacities. Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) was conferred on him in 2015 and 2019, while President Police Medal (PPM) graced his badge in 2011 and 2017. He also achieved IGP's Exemplary Good Service Badge twice in recognition of his highest professional standard.

Mr. Mohammad Shamsuzzaman Arafat

He was groomed with the country's finest athletic minds as a rare long-distance endurance athlete in Bangladesh. He found a goal as an endurance athlete, which resulted in crossing the Bangla Channel Nine times, being the first man to run from Teknaf to Tetulia (1000KM) in 2017 in 20 days. He is the only Bangladeshi to finish Ironman World Championship and Ironman 70.3 World Championship and to be placed on the podium in any Ironman and Ironman 70.3 event worldwide. He directly qualified for Ironman World Championship and Ironman 70.3 World Championship by securing 2nd place in Ironman Malaysia and Ironman 70.3 Goa, India. Till date, he finished 5 Ironman full distance and 4 Ironman 70.3. He achieved an 'All world athlete- Silver' in 2020 and 2021 from Ironman All-World Athlete Program -2020 and 2021. In addition, he earned the "All World Athlete-Gold" ranking and won the AWA-Gold award from Ironman for the first time for Bangladesh in 2022.

Mr. Monjurul Hoque

Mr. Monjurul Hoque, a successful businessman from Chittagong who always smiles and loves to eat and feed others. By bringing the café culture to the heart of Chittagong with his Barcode Restaurant Group, Monjurul Hoque has established himself as a trendsetter, persuading others to follow in his footsteps. Currently, he is acting as the Chairman of the N. Mohammad Group. Monjurul Hoque was also the Former Vice Chairman of Chittagong Club Ltd. He has established many service-oriented industries one by one, including Exclusive furniture, N. Mohammad Convention Center, Barcode Group (Barcode Cafe, Burgwich Town, Barcode On Fire, Barcode at GEC, Barcode Boat Club, University Café - Asian University for Women & Chittagong Independent University, Mejjan Haile Aiyun), Six Events. He says "You don't need to have a lot of money in your pockets to start your business. Patience and hard work is the key here. Also, he says that being well-informed and having detailed knowledge is very important ".

Mr. Shams Jaber

CEO, The Tech Academy

Shams Jaber is an entrepreneur and an educator whose lifelong mission is to gamify the education system. He is the founder of The Tech Academy (Gamify Limited), a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum, an Acumen Fellow, and the chief mentor of Team Bangladesh, winners of FGC 2020 (Olympics of Robotics for high school). Shams Jaber founded The Tech Academy in 2013, the first institute in Bangladesh to teach robotics institutionally to school children. He has been involved in many social innovation projects, including computing in the cloud-literally in Bandarbans, BhaiThamen (application for women's safety) and Project Unlearn (gender education for young boys), and so on. He was also awarded the prestigious Joy Bangla Youth Award in 2021 by the Government of Bangladesh. In addition, UNDP Bangladesh featured him as one of the transformers for his contribution to education through The Tech Academy.

Ms. Razia Sultana

Founder of RW Welfare Society (RWWS)

Ms. Razia Sultana is a Rohingya feminist activist born in Myanmar and raised in Bangladesh. She is a researcher and educator specializing in trauma, mass rape, and trafficking of Rohingya girls and women. Since 2016, she has interviewed hundreds of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and has published two reports. In 2018 Ms. Razia Sultana started an organization with the Psychosocial Support Project for Rohingya Women, Resilience Building, Cox’s Bazaar, and continuing this in camp 14 Ukiya. Her organization officially hosted the community in 2019 and ran women empowerment and leadership programs. 2018 in April, she spoke before the UN Security Council during its open debate on sexual violence in conflict. She reported about the decades-long pattern of rape, violence, discrimination, and displacement of Rohingyas and other ethnic people in Myanmar.
