Daryll Tan
Ventured into establishing his own talent management and video marketing business at the age of 21. Daryll then merged his company and is the Co-Founder of OpenMinds® Malaysia and Hong Kong, a MarTech Consultation firm; together with his partners, growing the company’s valuation to USD5Million in 4.5 years, being featured as one of Malaysia’s best workplace culture, recognised by The Technopreneurs Association of Malaysia (TeAM) as one of the Corporate Development companies under the Malaysia’s Startup Ecosystem Handbook, awarded The Malaysia Technology Excellence Award 2022. OpenMinds® is also the proud owner of OpenAcademy, an education arm focused on corporate upskilling and on-the-go learning by industry practitioners.
Daryll was a part-time digital trainer at TAP by IACT, a mentor for FutureLab, Startup Weekend by Techstars, Young Corporate Malaysians, iCUBE UK and Proficeo Malaysia and an occasional guest writer for The Star – Leaderonomics pullout. Daryll has also been recognised as among the Top 10 Visionary Leaders on Beyond Exclamation magazine 2018, Most Influential Leaders In Business on TheBusinessBerg 2019, Successful People in Malaysia 2021 by British Publishing House, nominee for EOY 2018 and nominee for 100 MIYE Most Influential Young Entrepreneurs 2019.
Daryll is also the Founder and Group CEO of food & technology company Feed Forward Sdn. Bhd. The company’s main focus is building the F&B industry through bespoke brands and a range of FoodTech solutions - "FEEDing People, Moving FORWARD". Feed Forward Group currently owns “WILD FOOD”, a ready-to-eat sauce and condiment brand and is currently working on other consumer brands such as – “gobble” (a family snacks brand), “more.” (focused on coffee, tea and ready-drinks), a frozen food line, snacks and many more.
Having founded six other businesses, he is actively involved in Entrepreneurship mentoring, Business / Partnership development, MarTech consultation, creative strategizing and talent development. He is also the Founder of PlaySafe, a social crime fighting initiative that focuses on making safety a right and not a luxury.
His entrepreneurial journey has led him to be heavily involved in startup development where he offers strategic business advice and solutions to budding entrepreneurs; ensuring grit and relentless tenacity as they journey through each season as a business owner. He also serves wholeheartedly to manage client relationships, consult industry leaders on social media positioning, oversee strategic digital solutions to solve business problems and to engage the intended target audience; building brands as a result.

Dhana Raj Markandu
Engineer & Energy Analyst
Dhana Raj Markandu is an engineer with over twenty years of experience in technologies that generate the electrons which power our daily lives. He has served across a broad spectrum of technical and management roles in the electricity industry, with a portfolio that includes coal, natural gas, hydropower, renewables and nuclear. His diverse personal energy mix gives him an unconventional perspective on the subject that drives him to incessantly tinker with data and delve into nuances beyond mainstream narratives. Currently on a sabbatical from the corporate sector, Dhana is expanding his horizons by exploring parallel freelance vocations as an energy analyst, consultant, management trainer, LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator and STEM educator. He has a degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from University College London and is a Chevening Scholar with a Masters in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Edinburgh

Tashny Sukumaran
Tashny is a senior analyst whose research interests include labour migration, gender equality, and the regional role and position of international human rights mechanisms. She is the founder of 50-50 Malaysia, a tool to connect policymakers, journalists and the public with female experts in, on or from Malaysia. She was a former correspondent for the South China Morning Post where she wrote extensively on the Belt and Road Initiative in Malaysia. She holds a postgraduate degree in human rights law from SOAS, University of London.
