Her victory in the Supreme Court set a precedent and she is hailed as a woman's rights crusader. She completed her law and went to the UK to qualify as a Barrister from Lincoln's Inn. She returned to Pakistan and has been actively involved in criminal litigation. She was awarded Hum Women Leaders Award 2020 and was presented a shield by Imran Khan for her inspirational struggle. She received the UK Alumni Award 2022, by the British Council.

Sana Khurshid is a lawyer and an activist for persons with disabilities (PWDs). During her career, she has served as a consultant, and researcher, and has lectured on disability and related civil rights topics. Amongst her notable achievements, she has served as an integral member of the Lahore Development Authority’s Advisory Committee for PWDS. This Committee has successfully implemented legislative reforms for improving accessibility for various PWDS, including persons with mobility, sight, and hearing disabilities. Ms. Khurshid has similarly litigated for PWDS’ meaningful accessibility before the Lahore High Court, which has led to tangible reforms within society. She has worked with the relevant department of the Government of Punjab, namely the Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department, to thoroughly draft a law that aims to improve all rights and entitlements of PWDs. Her work earned her the Pride of Pakistan Award in 2021.
