The Technology, Design and Entertainment in Covenant University (TEDxCovenantUniversity) was first organised in 2016 by the university student community to promote, enlighten, encourage and celebrate ingenuity, creativity, and indigenous knowledge from industry experts and professionals to the undergraduate community.

TEDxCovenantUniversity aims to, through a diverse and enabling platform inspire and challenge Covenant University students to push the boundaries of Technology, Innovation and Creativity in proffering indigenous solutions. It's vision is to create an enabling student environment for the evolution of practical sustainable, and innovative solutions to Nigerian problems.

Michael is responsible for driving and coordinating the implementation of the business’ strategy, providing operational oversight and business development initiatives. He provides business development and relationship management leadership to the team in Corporate trust, Public trust, Escrow agency, Loan Syndication, Consortium, Estate planning and Private Trust offerings among others.

Salem King

Creative story teller

Salem King is a creative story teller, video creator, photographer and influencer. He is also the founder of Booster Academy. The Academy is a school that aims to teach online creators how to find clarity in their career field as well as boost and monetize their community. The graduate from Madonna University also works in OurPass (Techstars '21) as a Digital Marketing Manager. He also holds paid/ free workshops and training for content creators With over 50k followers on Instagram, the online creator shares tips and tricks as well as inspirational content on how to create and leverage on your online community. He also encourages his students and followers to keep chasing their dreams and maintain consistency in progress in their respective career fields.

Tomike Adeoye

TV presenter, actress

A graduate of the University of Lagos, Tomike Adeoye is an Award Winning Brand Influencer, Media Personality, Actor as well as Entrepreneur. She began as a Radio and TV presenter before transitioning into the acting industry while in university. She rose to prominence as Tania in the Jenifa Diary television series. Tomike, in the course of her career journey in the entertainment Industry, has won so many award amongst them is the Nominee for the Future Awards Africa Prize for On Air personality in the year 2018.

Tunde Onakoya

Founder of Chess in slums

Tunde Onakoya is the founder of Chess in Slums Africa and a Nigerian chess master, instructor, and coach. Chess in Slums Africa started is a volunteer driven non-profit organization which aims to empower young ones in impoverished communities by using the game of chess. In Lagos, he has coordinated a variety of initiatives for children in slums such as Majidun (Ikorodu), Makoko, and, most recently, Oshodi. The youngsters participate in a two-week session in which they learn to read, write, and develop fundamental literacy skills while playing the game of chess.
