Dr. London, MD is a Gynecologist at Carle Health and a Clinical Associate Professor at Carle Illinois College of Medicine. She received a degree from John's Hopkins and her medical degree is from Penn State.

Dr. Mason, D.O., MSMEd. is an Associate Program Director for Family Medicine Residency and Assistant Medical Director for Quality, Safety and Carle Experience for Primary Care at Carle Health. He will be completing his Master's degree in Health Services Administration in June 2021.

Vice President of Pharmacy, Medical Utilization Management and Systems

Brian Smolich, PharmD, BCACP is a Vice President at Health Alliance Medical Plans. In addition to his Pharmacy degree, he has completed a Leadership Development Program through the University of Illinois Geis Business School.

Bruce Osborne

Director of Environmental Services

Bruce Osborne is the Director of Environmental Services at Carle Foundation Hospital. Previous to his work at Carle, he served as an Illinois pastor for multiple congregations and a religious educator for Pre-K through 12th grade.

Christine Farag

Dr. Farag, MD is a Psychiatry Resident at Carle Foundation Hospital. She attended the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience. She has a degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. After medical school, she worked in the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China where she trained in medication practices while serving as a physician for a monastery.

David King, MSW is the Manager of Community Outreach for Carle Addiction Recovery. His experience has encompassed working in the public and private sector with a background in operations, program development, consulting as both a provider and administrator.

Eric Swenson

Strategic Planning Coordinator

Eric Swenson is a Strategic Planning Coordinator at Carle Health and a U.S. Army Veteran. Previously he was a Vice President for a Farm Management Consulting Firm and ran a consulting group with the Geis College of Business. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Illinois. He was deployed to Iraq from 2006 - 2007.

Holly Cook

Director, Emergency Department, Carle Foundation Hospital

Holly Cook, MSN, RN, CEN, TNS, is the Director of Carle Foundation Hospital's Emergency Department. She received her BSN from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and her MSN from Webster University. She began her Emergency Department Nursing career at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Joella Evans

Hospitality Manager, Carle Foundation Hospital

Joella Evans, MS, CCRP, is the Hospitality Manager for Carle Foundation Hospital. She received her Master's degree in Kinesiology at University of Illinois. Previously she was a Supervisor in the Cardiology Department at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Krista Taylor, LCPC is a Counselor in Psychiatry and Psychology at Carle Mattoon. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degree from Eastern Illinois University. She provides full spectrum mental health care with an interest in assisting adults and adolescents coping with Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Lakita Scott, MSN, RN, CPHQ, NE-BC is the Vice President of Quality for Carle Health. She earned her Master's degree in Nursing from University of St. Francis and a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from Northern Illinois University.

Lauri Umbarger is an Executive Assistant for Carle Health. She is an ambassador and donor mom with the Gift of Hope.

Madalyn Pogue

Madalyn Pogue, RN is an ICU Nurse at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. She currently serves on the Unit Practice Council.

Napoleon Knight

Chief Medical Officer, Carle Health

Dr. Napoleon Knight serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the Carle Health System. He has been in leadership roles at Carle since 1992 and has been a physician at Carle for 31 ½ years. Dr. Knight received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Knight has spoken to many medical groups, national groups, community organizations and even at the National Library of Health.

Nathan Welsh

Registered Nurse, Carle Foundation Hospital

Nathan Welsh is a registered nurse with over a decade of experience in healthcare, most at Carle Foundation Hospital. Nathan has worked on Tower 7 Surgical since 2014 and has served in a number of roles on the unit and in the organization including charge nurse and a practice committee representative. Nathan has most recently been focusing on precepting new nurses as they transition to independent practice. He has won a number of Daisy Awards for patient service and currently has the most Daisies of any nurse in the Carle Health System.

Sue Herriott

Carle Experience Advisor, Carle BroMenn Medical Center

Sue Herriott has been a nurse for over 40 years and been at Carle for 28 years. She currently serves as a Carle Experience Advisor for Carle BroMenn Medical Center. Her background includes experience in inpatient pediatrics and ambulatory primary care. For the last 20 years, she’s worked in non-traditional nursing leadership roles.

Theresa Gabel

Patient Safety Coordinator

Theresa Gabel started her career as a Registered Nurse at Carle Health in 2005. She moved to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2010 with her husband to work with an NGO involved with community development, leadership and education.

Trevor Martin

Director of Information and Cyber Security

Trevor Martin is the Director of Information and Cyber Security for Carle Health. Trevor has a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and holds many certifications in the industry. Prior to coming to Carle, he was the Director of IT Operations at Wolfram Research. Trevor has 6 children ranging in age from 4-19 who provide an endless parade of entertainment. He enjoys woodworking, board games, golf and billiards and is a former volleyball coach.

Tynan O'Neil

Director of Business Development, Carle Richland Memorial Hospital

Tynan O’Neil serves as the Director of Business Development at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. He has a Master of Health Administration from Penn State and is originally from Idaho. Tynan has been with the Carle Health System for 5 years in a variety of roles. Tynan and his wife Tia are entrepreneurs. They recently purchased and are refurbishing a Family Fun Center in Olney, and his wife owns a salon. They have been foster parents since 2018 and have had 10 children placed with them including 2 sibling groups, a teen mother and daughter, and 4 who currently live with them.
