Arianna Matanane is a freshman attending Seabury Hall. Arianna enjoys digital art and editing and learning more about her culture. Arianna’s involvement in TEDx is due to her goal of spreading aloha and sharing her family values. Arianna hopes her speech will spread the idea that peace is possible. The title of her speech is "Peace is Possible."

Christiana Joiner is a 16 year old in the junior class at Seabury Hall. She enjoys walking her dog, playing soccer, and watching movies in her free time. She got involved with Tedx for the opportunity to shed a little light on the pandemic that has controlled the past two years and been so hard for so many. In her speech, she will be discussing the bilateral implications of COVID 19 on mental health.

Darija Trumbo, now a Junior at Seabury Hall, enjoys swimming on her high school’s varsity team and is an avid graphic novel reader and drawer in her free time. Normally found at her desk writing in her journal or sparking a new idea for a poem, Darija leads her high school career with an interest in mathematics and pursues her outside passion of persuasive writing in her humanities classes. Currently impassioned by the community of TEDx, Darija wants to bring her new ideas and experiences to the audience of the world. Darija is going to speak about the competition of grades and how they should not be further used to define someone by their level of “smartness” and whether or not they are a motivated learner. Ultimately, as high schoolers experience the common stress to try to be the “best of the best” or compete to receive the best grades to try to be valedictorian or class salutatorian, grades don’t matter so long as a student is motivated to learn.

Mansa Devaki is a junior at Seabury Hall. Her favorite subjects are math and science and she aspires to be a doctor and make her own non-profit clinic in the future. In her free time, she likes to listen to music, dance, and travel with her family. Mansa wants to do TEDx to spread awareness about topics that are important to her and carry significance for the broader community. Mansa’s topic for this year is the secret behind traditional breathing techniques that are proven to lower stress and bring about positive effects on one’s health.

Molly is an junior at Seabury Hall who is passionate about the fine arts and music. Molly has always loved looking at psychology, and has loved researching the intricacies of how the human mind works, especially in relation to others. Molly decided to get involved in TEDx because of her passion for sharing knowledge she has learned through her experiences and research. Molly has chosen to speak about the importance of connecting to our passions, how phone has disconnected her from doing what she loves, and how she has reconnected.

Patrick Doan is a junior at Seabury Hall. In his free time, Patrick is an active player on the boy’s varsity basketball team and he has an active interest in mathematics. Patrick is involved in TEDx in order to have an opportunity to represent himself in a speech that will be heard from a large audience. Patrick will be speaking about how to shoot a three pointer.

Tyler Levine, a homeschool student in her Junior year of highschool, is on a mission to grow seeds of everlasting positive change within the hearts and minds of intergenerational communities across the globe. When she is not in the garden tending to an ecosystem of plants and animals, she can be found with her head in a book or her hands on a keyboard.
As Tyler navigates the seas of schooling and life with an interest in all subjects, she continues to follow the north star of her heart towards a future of health, sustainability, climate resilience, and food security. She believes the only way to transform the current pargam of society is through asking big questions. Tyler has chosen to speak about the importance of asking big questions in the context of personal growth and global change.
