The brain is a wonderful place to be. Come join us as we explore the brain through its connection between art and science.
The evening will begin with the All Natural, Whole Brain Art Exhibit in the lobby outside the theater. Nova Southeastern University students and faculty members will delight your senses and tickle your neurons with their interpretation of the brain’s structure and function. A pre -program slide show will follow inside the theater. “Pop Cultured Brains” is a visual guide to the impact of our human brain, celebrating its ability to hypnotize, amaze, and terrify.
During the evening, NSU professors will treat you to lectures so insightful that you’ll want to go back to college. They will focus on interesting and timely topics such as the good and bad effects of stress on one’s brain and body, how to find neuronal beauty in nature, and will answer the question of what defines reality versus fantasy. NSU students will delight you with their modern dance interpretation of sound perception. You will never look at your ear in the same way again.
Your brain is the center of your world. It allows you to think, to feel, to love, to dance, to cry. We hope this night will inspire you to think beyond your cranium and discover the wonderful mystery that is your brain.
