Marcella Browning
Marcella and her son, Blake Morimoto, are life-long residents of the ever evolving Silicon Valley and its community. Marcella is a graduate of local public schools, culminating in earning a Bachelor Degree from San Jose State University. Marcella majored in Business Administration completing both the accounting and finance curriculums and more. She remains an accomplished accounting and finance professional with an entrepreneur mindset continuously, learning and growing.
Recognizing the value of education, being the quickest means of economic advancement, Marcella has always advocated it. This love has opened doors and introduced her to amazing people she has had the pleasure of working and socializing with. Some are the most successful in their field. Many voluntarily mentored her, helping to shape and define the woman she has become. Marcella’s son is the center of her universe, and a Senior here at Leigh High School, California. Her speech entitled, A Legend of Rock’s Gift to Aspiring Artists, is dedicated to her son, his friends and any other interested people.
Rameen Waziri
Rameen Waziri is a student as a Junior at Leigh High School. Subjects that typically pique his interest are those in the STEM field. He is intrigued by Psychology and Biology while taking a liking in History and Language Studies. He also enjoys discussing these topics to gain a firmer grasp on new concepts. Rameen is always looking to experience adversities and develop both personally, educationally, and professionally. Rameen loves discovering new activities to become a part of and he enjoys working with his community and helping others in any way he can. He aims to acquire a role in the medical field after he graduates from an institute of higher education in the coming years and continue improving himself throughout these oncoming experiences. Tonight, Rameen will be giving his speech titled “The Implications of Introversion and Extroversion.”
Saurish Srivastava
Saurish Srivastava is a junior at Evergreen Valley High School, a competitive high school located in the heart of Silicon Valley: San Jose. He’s an avid speech and debater, qualifying to the Tournament of Champions in both Varsity Lincoln Douglas and Varsity Public Forum. Saurish is the vice president of Dialexicon, a non-profit organization dedicated towards connecting students all across the world through philosophical discussions targeted at schooling and current injustices. He is also an active member in his direct community through his non-profit Ataraxia, where he promotes neurodiversity and attempts to relieve the mental health crisis among the unhoused population through research-backed mental health kits. He hopes that through this TED Talk and his work in his community, he will be able to inspire other individuals to freely express themselves and become empathetic and social individuals. Sonja Lippmann
Sonja Lippmann is currently a Junior at Leigh High School. She has always been interested in neuroscience and has recently begun recording her dreams in an attempt to learn more about them. She’ll be sharing her findings and reflections on this experience in her Tedx Talk. Her speech is titled “The Ambitious Choice of the Strawberry Life Raft: What can our dreams reveal about ourselves?”
Trella Davis
Trella is an Intuitive Coach, Counselor, and Strategy Expert. She is certified in various alternative healing modalities, and she has a gourmet natural tea business Trella's Tea.
Trella has been a public high school educator, and a California Ordained Minister since 2002 graduating from the seminary school of Church of Natural Grace. She has nearly 20 years of business, marketing, advertising, database/systems design and professional consulting experiences nationally and internationally with a Bachelors of Arts in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin and Masters of Business Administration from San Francisco State University.
