Raven Heyward

Raven Heyward is a senior at Enloe. She has always had a passion for DEI-related topics being a student ambassador Enloe's school's equity team and on student council. Her junior year, Raven conducted a research paper based on women of color in Corporate America. Her research highlighted the personal experiences of WOC in Corporate America in the state of North Carolina. Even though more companies are implementing DEI policies and trying to offer more to their minority employees, there is still a lack of representation and equity. The women believed more could be done to increase the representation of minorities in the workplace. It all starts with education. Instead of just checking boxes, Raven attended the NIXLA summer accelerator as only high school student to learn more about metrics and accountability for companies. Raven's podcast DiversifyHER is where she interviews leaders and creates conversations on how to increase representation to create more equitable environments.
