A speech expressing the consequences of oppression through a fight for gender equality along with a battle for the acknowledgment of colonization's horrors. A contrasted dichotomy narrated by means of the personal experiences of two speakers belonging to the oppressed and oppressor side, brought together by a message of fight through the power of activism.

In my TED talk, I am discussing the impacts of diet culture through analyzing its relationship to eating disorders. I am also touching on historical aspects, feminism, medical research, capitalism, my personal story, and finally: a solution. I am excited to share this speech with my campus community to reassure others who have struggled with their relationship with their body and nutrition and to raise awareness in those who have never even heard the term diet culture.

What can pandas tell us about the world? Turns out, its everything from Chinese diplomacy to the misconceptions of their own species. Most importantly, their story tells us about the failures of animal conservation and how our current solutions are not sufficient to combat the environmental mistakes we've made. It's time for a more critical view on what we can do to protect the species we share this planet with.
