Briana Williams
Briana Williams is an attorney based in both Texas and California. She graduated from St. John's University with a B.A. in Legal Studies. At St. John's, she received high honors in the English department, as well as worked with both the City Council and the Fifth District's Congressional Office. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her certificates for Sustainable Business Strategy and Financial Analysis and Valuation from Harvard's Business School, respectively. She currently sits on the board of Children's Rights, a non-profit, as well as contributes articles to USA Today as a freelance writer.
Eduardo Landicho
Eduardo Landicho is a 4th-year design major with a focus on architecture at UC Davis. Eddie was born with Muscular Dystrophy and has been wheelchair-bound since the early age of five. He wants to create sustainable and equitable infrastructure to create much more inclusive environments for those with disabilities.
Kari Loya
Emmy-winning bilingual voice talent, author, and musical artist
Kari Loya is an educational leader, adventurer, and storyteller. He loves empowering individuals, teams, and organizations to perform at their best. He has worked nearly three decades at a range of innovative educational institutions, beginning with Teach for America in 1993 and serving most recently as headmaster at the Good Hope Country Day School in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He is also an Emmy-winning bilingual voice talent, author, and musical artist. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia University. He currently lives with his wife and daughter in Sugar Land, Texas.
Mark Mascal
Mark Mascal received his PhD degree in chemistry from Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London, and was a postdoctoral researcher with Nobel Laureate Jean-Marie Lehn at the University of Strasbourg, France. He was a Visiting Professor at UCLA from 2000-2003, after which he took up his current appointment at the University of California Davis, where he is Professor of Chemistry. In the 2012-2013 academic year, he was the Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Alternative Energy Technology at Chalmers Technical University in Gothenburg, Sweden. His research interests include applications of sustainable chemistry to the synthesis of biobased chemicals and materials, the design and synthesis of topologically and theoretically interesting molecules, medicinal chemistry and pharmacology, and computational chemistry. He is currently spending a year in government, working in the US Department of State as a science fellow and policy advisor.
Michelle Andrews
Michelle Andrews is a third-year undergraduate student at UC Davis, majoring in Environmental Science and Management and minoring in Human Rights and Political Science. She is the Legislative Director for the Associated Students of UC Davis and President of the Davis College Democrats. When she is not in classes on-campus, she spends most of her time advocating for more equitable access to higher education and affordable housing, or enjoying the deliciousness of Davis’s Thai Canteen.
