Jiun-Huei Proty Wu
Cosmologist + Professor + Scientist + Cartoonist
Professor Jiun-Huei Proty Wu is a cosmologist teaching physics and astrophysics at National Taiwan University. In 1999, he obtained a Ph.D. in cosmology at Prof. Stephen Hawking's Relativity and Gravitation Group at DAMTP, the University of Cambridge. During his studies, he won the J.T.Knight Prize for his thesis titled named《Cosmological Perturbations from Cosmic Strings》. After receiving his Ph.D., he began working at U.C.Berkeley as a KDI Fellow and was jointly appointed by NASA as a Long-Term Space Astronomer. In 2001, he joined the faculty of the Physics Department at National Taiwan University while being the Project Scientist of AMiBA, a cosmological telescope based in Hawaii.

He is also well-known for his work at John Hopkins Hospital in developing novel medications to treat strokes in the brain. With a diverse portfolio and expertise in investing in disruptive technology, he is now the owner of the Explore Hotel located in Taichung.

Combining the knowledge and expertise in technical engineering and marketing, Norris is now leveraging his talent to develop and promote sustainable and WELL-building communities in Taiwan.

In 2005, Shannon graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA in Literature with hopes of heading to law school. However, after accepting a job in teaching, she immediately knew that education was her passion. She then achieves her master's degree in arts in teaching English and education in Leadership. And for her doctoral degree, she went to Vanderbilt University.
