Theme: Entrepreneurship from Early Years

TEDxYouth@JPS Ranebennur is a half-day conference hosting a well-curated series of talks for the educationally inclined residents of the districts of Haveri and Davanagere which are the centre points of Karnataka State. This TEDxYouth event will be a conglomeration of educators, entrepreneurs, self-made leaders, students, and others to engage in a conversation to discuss the need for encouraging schools in promoting Entrepreneurship from Early Years. Our goal is to bring together brilliant minds to give talks that are focussed on unique ideas on a wide range of subjects to inspire young minds and foster learning as well as create networks that matter! We hope that this event will motivate more schools across Karnataka to use this global platform to share innovative ideas to change the mindset of parents and elders to help the youth find their innate abilities, believe in themselves and follow their passion to live as happy individuals!

Along with Michigan State University, researching the sustainability practices of the USA and India Started his career in Architecture under Architect Hafeez Contractor in Mumbai and later did his Masters's in Construction Project Management from Michigan State University- USA, with ‘Cost Control in International Construction Projects’ as the research area.

Mr.Praveen Kumar

Joint Secretary, SVYM

Praveen Kumar S: B. Tech(Mech) IIT Madras Member; Task Force for Implementation of NEP 2020 in Karnataka Science & Mathematics Facilitator Research Associate at the Robotics Lab & Research Academy, a start-up in Chennai. Praveen is the Chief Strategic Officer of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement and heads the Science Educational initiatives- Vijnana Vahini. Praveen and his team had designed and set up the first Science Exploratory Park of the state of Karnataka at the block level. He was also a part of the technical review committee monitoring of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka for the setting up of sub-regional science centers across 13 districts in Karnataka. He has also produced a radio series named Vijnana Vismaya, broadcast every day on Janadhwani, the community radio station of SVYM. He is a part of the production team of Lekkada Katte a radio serial for mathematics concepts.

Geeta also founded the International Academy of Storytelling- The only Globally recognized academy for storytelling that has certified courses in Storytelling affiliated to institutions around the world. Completed 140 batches at its center and is on with its online storytelling sessions. A dedicated and experienced Teacher, school coordinator, Curriculum designer, and developer for International Institutions and schools across the Globe Geeta has over 40 years of experience serving as a Curriculum designer for social sciences, English, Arts Integration programs for schools and universities both in India and abroad. She is on the board of many Institutions and has extended her services to Non-Governmental organizations in the country.

Ms.Tanushree R

Student & Singer

Tanushree is the daughter of M V Shubha and Raghavendra & is currently in Grade 11. Like her mother, she is a proficient & popular singer of all genres of Kannada music, she is trained in Gamaka, Carnatic Classical, Devotional, Vachanas, Bhavageete, Janapada, Kamsaale, Rangageete, etc. She also sings in almost 10 different languages and explores the different genres of global music like Arabic, jazz, pop, etc She has done playback for movies under the music composers like Manju Kavi, Sandy, Zubin Paul, Atishay Jain, and Vinay Rangdhol. She has recorded tracks for more than 30 movie songs in Kannada and Tamil. She has also recorded for more than 5 Musial albums. She has been invited as Singer / Performer on the prestigious international platform of TEDx as a speaker/performer and received great appreciation.
