In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

She emphasizes the importance of adding thinkness into our perspectives considering the linkages which connect people in one group to progress forward continuosly and overcome the problems faced by us.

대한민국은 현재 ‘갈등의 시대’에 살고 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 세대갈등, 지역갈등, 이념갈등 등 수많은 원인으로부터 비롯된 갈등들이 우리 사회를 ‘내 편’ 아니면 ‘네 편’ 두 가지로 분열되도록 부추기고 있다. 현재 대구외국어고등학교 2학년에 재학 중인 염지원 연사는 ‘The Link’라는 주제에 대해 대한민국 국민의 연대가 가져온 놀라운 기적들에 대해 이야기할 예정이다. 대한민국의 국민들의 연대는 항상 놀라운 결과를 우리에게 가져다 주었다. 갑작스럽게 닥친 코로나19의 확산에 아무도 시키지 않았는데 전국 각지에서 의사와 간호사가 자원하여 모여들었고, 그들을 위해 도시락을 만들고, 물품을 지원하기 위해 크고 작은 성금의 행렬이 이루어졌다. 이러한 ‘이상한 나라’의 ‘이상한 사람들’의 기담은 이번이 처음이 아니다. 1997년 IMF외환위기, 태안반도 기름유출사고, 민주화운동가들, 조선시대의 의병들, 고려시대의 민병들까지 대한민국의 위기 극복의 역사는 위대한 연대의 국민성의 역사였다. 이번 강연이 청중들로 하여금 연대의 중요성을 깨닫게 하고 ‘갈등의 시대’에 닥친 수많은 난제들을 함께라면 이겨나갈 수 있다는 깨달음을 얻기를 희망한다.

Kang Min Lee is currently a 2nd grade student in Taegu Foreign Language High School. He is actively engaged in social drives to promote human rights, particularly in regard to the LGBTQ+ community. By suggesting how gender minorities who belong to the school communities are struggling with the issue of coming out, he points out the danger of hiding their true identity in maintaining long-lasting social connections. He further emphasizes that we should immediately proceed discussions on the topic to support LGBTQ+ students and teachers. He delivers a poetic message in the hope of the audience being part of the movement toward building an LGBTQ-friendly school environment and forging strong links with them.

현재 대구외국어고등학교 2학년에 재학 중인 최서영 연사는 'The Link'라는 주제 하에 인간관계를 연상시킨다. 이 강연에서 링크, 즉 연결고리는 둘 이상의 사람 사이를 연결하는 것으로 정의된다. 우리들은 자연스럽게 많은 사람들과의 연결고리에 얽혀서 살아가고 있지만 그 많고 많은 연결고리들 중에서도, 가장 중요한 자신과 자신 사이에 연결고리가 있다는 것을, 즉 자신 안에 또 다른 자신이 존재한다는 것을 어색하게 여기곤 한다. 그 이유는 바로 우리들은 대부분 다른 사람들과의 관계에 더 집중하며 살아가고 있기 때문이다. 이 강연에서는 다른 사람들과의 연결고리, 즉 관계에 더 신경쓰고 발전시키기 전에 나와 내 안에 있는 또 다른 나 사이의 연결고리를 탄탄하게 강화해야 한다는 사실을 강조하고 있다.

Yujin Park who is the speaker of this lecture, is interested in economic inequality and managing corporations. She wants to be a businesswoman who can solve economic inequality managing corporations and influence on world positively. She thought the economic gap between developing and developed countries is serious problem to solve. But she found the link between developing and developed countries through multinational corporations. Because multinational corporations have deepened today's economic inequality, multinational corporations itself can solve it directly through their ESG activities. However, pointing out the limitation that multinational corporations’ current ESG activities are insufficient to solve economic inequality at the international level, she suggested expanded ESG activities for solving economic inequality internationally. Also, she suggested appropriate technology as a way to practice the expanded ESG.
