Ernesto Gómez
PE Teacher & Sportsman
A sportsman from an early age, Mr. Ernesto has taken part in soccer, judo, competitive weight-lifting, kayaking, trekking, and Ashtanga Yoga. Ernesto has been a competitive skateboarder for 20 years, learning about determination, tenacity, and balance. He believes skateboarding is a very complete sport and that the mindset that comes with it and the physical aspects make it complex, and fun.
Mr. Ernesto is a myrmecologist (a person specialized in the study of ants) with 12 years of research experience at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, focussing his research on the public health system of the leaf-cutter ants. He is also a self-taught musician and metal vocalist.

Ryan Manary
Humanities teacher
Mr. Manary is originally from the United States but has also lived abroad having worked in several international schools. Along with teaching humanities in the classroom, Mr. Manary enjoys active participation in the school community. He has been a Model United Nations club advisor, coached soccer, and led eco-clubs and community outreach programs. A musician, he uses his acoustic guitar to differentiate instruction with original songs.
For Mr. Manary, being an international teacher has allowed him to have a global perspective when teaching history and geography. By working in IB world schools, he focuses on student character and skill development in addition to academic rigor. In his classroom, Mr. Manary seeks to empower middle and high school students to be inquiring and critical thinkers who approach issues in a principled and empathetic manner.

Tisha Meadows
Literacy Coach and Teacher
Mrs. Meadows is proficient in teaching English literature and in making the classroom space one with reflection, inquiry, and constant thinking. At school, Mrs. Meadows is one of the faculty advisors for the MUN team.
Victoria Llanos
Student & Dancer
Victoria, or "Vicky" as she's known by most around the school was born in Argentina. She has lived in Brazil and Panama and has a passion for traveling, dancing, and writing. If Vicky could describe herself in one word, it would be: caring
