Juliana Tafur is the founder of Story Powerhouse, a training organization using award-winning films to cultivate understanding. As the creator of the Listen Courageously movement and workshop series, Juliana and her team guide participants from the business sector, K-12, higher education institutions and nonprofits in empathic listening. Anformer content executive for Discovery Networks, and with vast experience as producer/director on series for most of the major TV channels in the U.S., Juliana discovered the power of listening through her award-winning documentary "List(e)n". “List(e)n”, inspired by the wave of division felt in America after the 2016 presidential election, toured the country at film festivals, was the recipient of numerous awards and serves as the basis for Listen Courageously’s workshops. Selected as a leader by the Obama Foundation Scholars Program, Juliana is on residency at Columbia University’s World Projects.

Liz is well known for her authentic and humanistic leadership style, which she shares through her humor, empathy and generosity with all she encounters. She is also a published author, blogger and insightful interviewer dedicated to connecting people with experiences that are both inspiring, vulnerable and affirming. Liz is a self-proclaimed recovering perfectionist, with a passion for the arts, animal rights and college football. Her past careers include public school teacher, dance team coach, nonprofit fundraiser and caregiver for her mother.

She is also a freelance writer, blogger, speaker and earned her Bachelors of Arts in Communications from the University of Maryland University College. Marla also works on the Military Spouse Advisory Council for Caliber Home Loans; she educates, collaborates, and leads initiatives to prevent and eliminate Veteran homelessness. Her passion is helping people in need. She does so as the Co-founder and CEO of the Bautista Project Inc, a nonprofit organization providing for homeless community members in Tampa, FL.
