In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Gan Wei Ren

Wei Ren is currently an educator with a background in biomedical science and science communication. As an extrovert, he enjoys engaging with people of all ages on STEM-related topics. He has written science blog articles and created visual content for science outreach events and teaching. He is especially interested in the communication of health and disease to promote better health literacy and awareness in society. His experience and involvement with the younger generation have also fueled his passion to inform and impact youths amidst a digitizing world. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music and is involved with the cubing community as a competitive speedcuber.

Hetal Doshi

Hetal Doshi is an Organizational Psychologist and a Certified Professional Coach who was in practice for ten years before setting up O Psych in 2014. Originally from Singapore, Hetal graduated from the National University of Singapore in Psychology (2005) and went on to pursue her Honours and Masters in Organizational Psychology at Macquarie University in Sydney, Austraila (2008). Over the years, she has gained certifications in profiling tools such as Genesys (2009), SHL (2009), Facet 5 (2010), Management Potential Evaluation (2011), MBTI Step I (2011), MBTI Step II (2011), and DISC (2011). She has also gained qualifications as a Trainer by HRDF in 2012, Certified Professional Coach by Corporate Coach Academy in 2015, and Certified Deign Thinker in 2017. Hetal is the CEO of O Psych, a company that has been nominated to take part in largescale transformation projects including Malaysia Airlines, Digi Telecommunications, and Petronas which involve 2,000 to 50,000 employees. She has facilitated over 400 workshops on various Leadership topics to various industries and diverse groups in over 10 countries. She has been featured on several media outlets including TV, Radio, and Newspaper, and speaks regularly in business and HR conferences. Hetal is most sought after her core skills in organizational psychology, evidence-based management theories, energetic psychology, and transformation utilizing least resistance. She is most well-known for her analogy and practices on the concept of the “Butterfly Effect”.

Howard Teng

Howard is currently a 2nd-year student studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Southampton Malaysia. Howard’s main hobby is playing water polo where he has previously represented and played for the Selangor state water polo team. Howard also currently runs his own Youtube channel where he regularly uploads vlogs of his daily activities and adventures. Howard is a very active student as he is a class representative and regularly joins events and external activities on campus and outside. He likes to share opinions and ideas on various topics such as science, sports, movies, etc. As time passed on in his life, Howard eventually learned to prioritize excelling in things that mattered the most in his life which helped push him ahead in life.

Richard Ker

Richard Ker is a seasoned innovation and keynote speaker who is highly immersed in the global startup and innovation ecosystem. He was previously attached to Cyberview, where he spearheaded Cyberjaya’s Living Lab and Smart City programs. He was also with the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC) where he set up the ASEAN Centre of Entrepreneurship (ACE). Richard lived and worked in the tech industry for more than 10 years in Beijing, China before relocating back to Malaysia. He is now the Chief Marketing Officer at Aerodyne Group, a drone-based solutions provider ranked first in the world with a presence in 35 countries.

Sharvien Bose

I am Sharvien Bose from UoSM and I’m a year 1 student pursuing my degree in mechanical engineering. I am currently 23 years old and I am also a blogger, podcaster and the founder of onepupilnation.com, where I try to help people to become the best versions of themselves. I am an avid gym goer, and I like reading books as well. Vishantini Tangavaloo

Vishantini Tangavaloo obtained her chemical engineering degree from the University Technology of Petronas(utp) and her MS chemical and bioprocess engineering from the National University of Malaysia. Currently, she heads the product development department at Synergy Oil & Gas Engineering sdn bhd. Her present research interests are focused on the oil & gas industry’s renewable energy and production enhancement. In recent years, she had developed recognized commercialization products which were awarded the Spotlight New Technology Award at the Oil & Gas Conference Asia 2020. She has also developed technical and marketable introductions on energy optimization across the industry. Presently, she actively mentors’ others and works with research in the field of production enhancement, renewables and energy optimization. Her expertise is in the areas of research management, patent writing and market research insight. Vishantini is also a professional technologist in the oil & gas industry recognized by the Malaysian board of technologists.
