In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alessandro Romaioli

Alessandro Romaioli, 29 years old, is a Mechanical Engineer and has been working for more than 5 years in Isinnova, a consultancy, research and development and innovative process and product solutions company. He is responsible for the technical department and co-creator of the Easy-Covid 19 project, which made it possible to convert a snorkelling mask into an emergency mask for the sub-intensive treatment of Covid-19 patients.

Fabio Finotti

Fabio Finotti is the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York. Former director of the Center for Italian Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where in 2007 he was appointed Mariano Di Vito Professor of Italian Studies in the Department of Romance Language and where he is now professor emeritus, from 2019 to 2021 he also headed the Interuniversity Program of Italian Studies at the University of Trieste-Udine. He is President of the Edizione Nazionale delle opere di Antonio Fogazzaro (National Edition of the works of Antonio Fogazzaro) and a member of the Accademia Olimpica in Vicenza, as well as of the scientific committees of several journals and publishing series. He is also President of AISLLI-Unesco (International Association for the Studies of Italian Language and Literature).
