This event occurred on
May 15, 2022
Phnom Penh, Phnom Penh
Cambodia

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Euan Gray

He has lived in Cambodia for over a decade, performing hundreds of concerts and producing many songs with emerging Cambodian artists. A co-founder of Songkites, and now the Music Director of The Sound Initiative, he is passionate about exploring music and songwriting's role in personal development. Amidst the start of the epidemic, he worked at the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit as a Communications Assistant at the Unit.

She has attended many programs to share, inspire and empower women to pursue their dream. But she doesn't do it for girls only; she does it for every gender. Her motto is "No negative stereotypes could tell us to stop at a point we want to reach. I’m a stereotype breaker; I break what people tell me that I can’t break."

Sochenda Aok (ឱក សុចិន្តា)

Sochenda Aok is the founder of ZEROW, a platform to inspire Cambodians to start living a zero-waste lifestyle. Sokphalkun Out (អ៊ុត សុខផល្គុន)

Sokphalkun Out works at EnergyLab as the Clean Energy and Mobility Coordinator. People say that because we are a developing country with a devastating past, we can’t be a leader in the region and help tackle this global climate challenge. The fact that Cambodia is a developing country is an ADVANTAGE, not a disadvantage - we haven’t built our system around a centralized fossil fuel system, so we don’t have to adopt a broken system. We can build out our new system by having 100% renewable energy.

Souchhy Sor (សរ ស៊ូឈី)

SouChhy Sor is the co-founder of ParrotEco, an eco-friendly product supplier for individual end-users, F&B and hospitality industries. She's a social activist who aims to influence youth to contribute to society, especially environmental awareness. She was the winner of KASPOP environmental photo contest by KONRAD Adenauer Stiftung Cambodia. Through her journey, she inspires her surroundings to have the strong mindset to make impactful changes to the ecological issues we face. She believes that nothing is impossible if we do it together. So, take the challenge and beat plastic waste.
