Bret Homer
Bret Arnold Homer is a research fellow at the University of Tulsa studying how technology changes the way healthcare providers find meaning in their work. He’s presented award-winning research at international conferences on the role psychology for healthcare delivery sciences. Most recently he accepted a post doc fellowship to continue his research with the Consortium of Universities in Washington DC.
G.W Schulz
G.W. Schulz is an Emmy-winning investigative reporter and writer of 20 years who grew up in Tulsa. He's reported stories for NPR, PBS, Wired.com, Newsweek, the Chicago Tribune, the San Francisco Chronicle, and others. He received an undergraduate journalism degree from the University of Kansas in 2003 and a graduate journalism degree from the University of Texas in 2018.
Jeffrey Alderman
Jeffrey Alderman, M.D., M.S. is Associate Dean for Medical Education at the University of Tulsa, where he serves as the Barbara Yetter Roth chair in Community Medicine. Dr. Alderman is a teacher and student of health care policy and systems – focusing on ways to improve care delivery to broad and diverse populations. He also is a long-time hospice and palliative medicine physician in the Tulsa community, where he continues to provide end-of-life care and hospice services. Dr. Alderman enjoys empowering students and patients alike to live their healthiest lives.
Jennifer Roberson
Jennifer Roberson is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach and Employee Engagement Senior Manager at Stinnett & Associates. Jennifer’s journey in finding her purpose began in 2008 when she first joined Stinnett & Associates as an internal audit engagement leader. During that time, Jennifer took the Clifton Strengths assessment which framed her talents as assets and allowed for a repurpose of her energies. This ultimately led to a transition into roles that focus on the firm’s training, development programs, and culture initiatives. Her reimagined talents and leadership was instrumental in building a sustainable company culture and growing Stinnett to be A Best Place to Work in Oklahoma.
She continues to push out of her traditional comfort zone and open doors to new possibilities that align with her strengths. Jennifer is an example of the benefits implementing a true work-life blend has on our personal and professional lives. She uses her talents at home, at work, and in her community and teaches many others to do the same.
Ryan Howell
Ryan Howell is not a medical professional. He spent 10 years as an archaeologist and the
last 5 years as a festival planner for Tulsa, helping to manage such icons as Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa,Folds of Honor FreedomFest, and many more. Through his varied career, he has been
trained and kept current in CPR, never thinking he would have to use it. Until one day, he
did. In his spare time, he is a storyteller. Ryan Howell was named Best Storyteller in Tulsa
2015 and host of the Story Club Tulsa podcast and live show. Ryan has been featured in storytelling festivals aroundOklahoma, at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, and NPR’s Tales from the South. During
COVID lockdown in 2020, Ryan was named by Newsweek Magazine as a “Hero of the
Pandemic” for sneaking around Turkey Mountain in a Bigfoot costume to promote social
distancing. Yep, that was him. All of the stories he tells are true.

Terrie Shipley
Dr. Terrie Shipley is an education consultant with 12 years of experience helping 200+ families with college and career planning. She’s currently working on an edtech startup, Apply U, which aims to democratize high-quality guidance throughout the higher education admission process.
Formerly, Terrie was a visiting professor at The University of Tulsa; Associate Director of the Youth Philanthropy Initiative; a university admissions counselor, academic advisor, and student affairs officer; and an English teacher in Spain and China. The golden thread connecting all of these occupations is student development—her passion.
She is the mother of two spirited children and volunteers to promote innovative education, the arts, mental health, and diversity, equity and inclusion. In her spare time, she travels and writes about food and culture.
