Naina Mansukhani
Naina Mansukhani dared to follow her dreams at the cost of a well-paying job. We take a look at how she
took the plunge and managed her finances while also achieving her goals. A few years ago, if you wanted to
be successful in life, you were told you had to become a doctor, a lawyer, or an engineer. Today, however,
millennials are breaking the mould, and are ready to chase their dreams no matter what it takes. One such
dream-chaser is Nike's Da Da Ding girl, Naina Mansukhani .
Her passion for running was something she simply couldn't ignore, and she decided to give up her job as a
lawyer to quite literally chase her dreams. She turned to modelling, and recently she even started her own
company, The Bride Boot Camp. With its general emphasis on helping a bride-to-be get in shape for her
wedding, the camp is the first fitness company that offers access to luxury workout plans with the best fitness
gear, customised training and detox diets.
Her mantra in life is fortune favours the bold, and she believes that a solid plan is all you need to make your
seemingly impossible dreams to come true. Little wonder that she came up with a business plan that allowed
her to invest money only after she made it. Instead of going to advertisers for marketing her brand, she turned
to digital media. Naina shares, "This meant that the business model did not require huge funds to be pumped
in." She took on collaborations to build the content, and for a while, her business worked on a barter system
of sorts. At the end of the day, Naina went the whole hog to make her dream come true, without it feeling
like she was working too hard. As she herself points out, "Pick a dream that you are passionate about and it
will never feel like work."
