In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adi is a surgeon by trade, who has travelled and trained all over the globe. He has settled down in Leipzig to lead in a company that focuses on innovative technologies to aid surgeons and medical practitioners. Outside of his profession, Adi is an avid artist.

Alexandra Witruk

Alexandra is a senior student at Leipzig International School. She is half Romanian but has lived in Leipzig for her entire life. Outside of school, she has been dancing and playing the piano for most of her life. She also enjoys reading and watching movies, which has led her to write some short stories of her own.

James Wyatt

Aerospace Consultant

James has been fascinated by aviation for most of his life. He has worked in the industry for 21 years, and now owns and runs an aviation consulting business. Besides his passion for flight, James is an avid traveller and enjoys running in his free time.

Julia Raithel-Hagemann

Student

Julia is a senior student at Leipzig International School, who has a passionate interest for physics, mathematics and computer science. In addition to her interest for logic and order, she also enjoys creativity, in the form of drawing or reading.

Sarah Mohammedi

Student

Sarah is a recent graduate of Leipzig International Schoool, who fled from Iraq to find a new home in Germany. She is passionate about studying medicine and playing sports, specifically basketball. Outside of those interestes, she also paints, likes to travel and has modelled in the past.
