We all lead stressful lives. In this day and age, we are pressured by the societal idea of perfection and over-saturated with finely curated examples of people who seem to have it all; simply existing is synonymous with feeling stress. This can easily become overwhelming and can negatively affect our mental health and overall well-being. However, there are healthy ways of coping with stress. Join us virtually on March 27th as TEDxPSU: Time to Pause speaker Dr. Molly Countermine shares a myriad of tools to combat the daily stress in our lives. Fresh off her TEDx talk titled, “Life Isn’t Supposed to be Good … All the Time”, Dr. Countermine will expand upon using daily mindfulness practices to improve mental health. The second event in TEDxPSU’s salon series, Affec[TED], Contemplative Practices, will provide an interactive outlet for participants to explore different forms of stress relief and find the ones that work best for them. Each individual will leave the event with a new understanding of the many forms of contemplative practices and how to use those practices to enhance their well-being.
