Condessa Curley
Dr. Curley is the Medical Director of Clinic Services. She is also the lead for the COVID-19 Worksite Outbreak Management Unit for one of the nation’s largest Public Health Departments. Dr. Curley is board-certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP).
In addition, she is a board member of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF). AHF is the nation’s largest HIV Care providers currently in 15 states in the United States and 41 countries throughout the world. Her passion to ensure the health and wellbeing in communities of color as well as marginalized populations, both locally, nationally and internationally thorough the development of sustainable community partnerships and collaborations continues to be the fuel that drives her.
Nina Harawa
Dr. Nina Harawa is a Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at UCLA. She also holds a faculty appointment at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science where she serves as Associate Director for Research for the Center for AIDS Research Education and Services (Drew CARES). Trained in epidemiology, Dr. Harawa’s research involves understanding trends in HIV and other sexually transmitted infections; developing effective, culturally relevant interventions for prevention, care, and treatment; and identifying policy solutions to addressing health disparities. She has conducted innovative intervention research with a variety of populations – including African American men and women, transgender women, and people experiencing incarceration. Much of this work has involved collaborating with local governmental and community organizations in order to address health issues in populations that experience major health disparities. Dr. Harawa also leads the Policy Core for the UCLA Center for HIV Identification, Prevention, and Treatment Services (CHIPTS). Listen as she talks about Shots of Love: The COVID-19 Vaccine.
Shalonda Crawford
As a licensed psychologist in the state of California, Dr. Crawford is adept in exploring deep-seeded issues and identifying the silver lining. Her compassion for others and desire to affect positive change in the community has the potential to affect a global transformation in the way that people view mental health.
She is resolute in her efforts regarding the state of our nation and the unrest that the Black and other minority communities feel. She is equally active in the pursuit to break down the stereotypical and stigmatic walls that prevent us from living our absolute best lives.
In addition to her private practice, she is currently a Clinic Manager at a community mental health clinic in East Los Angeles, as well as a spiritual advisor who works to integrate spirituality and psychotherapy to eradicate the stigma associated with Christians seeking counseling for various mental health conditions. Dr. Crawford is also the co-pastor of The Experience Christian Ministries.
