Christina Chiu
Christina Chiu is a speaker, author, literary host, and storyteller. She is the Grand Prize Winner of the James Alan McPherson Award for her novel Beauty, which was also selected as a Kirkus Best Books of 2020 and was the gold winner of the Human Relations Indie Book Awards. She is also author of Troublemaker and Other Saints, a nominee for the Stephen Crane First Fiction Award and winner of the Asian American Literary Award.
Chiu’s work appears in journals and anthologies including Tin House, The New Guard, Washington Square, The MacGuffin, Charlie Chan is Dead 2, Not the Only One, Washington Square, and others; she has won literary prizes from Playboy, New Stone Circle, El Dorado Writers’ Guild, The APA Journal: “In the Heart.” Her story “Waves” was nominated for the Pushcart. Her essays appear in Electric Literature, Next Tribe, and Publisher’s Weekly. She hosts New York Writers Workshop’s “Let’s Talk Books” author reading series and curates and co-hosts the Pen Parentis Literary Salon.
Daria Levy
Daria Levy is a Junior at Tenafly High School in Tenafly, New Jersey. She is a part-time barista and enjoys taking part in Student Council, the Debate Team, and Philosophy Club. Daria is passionate about helping others and would like to pursue politics in the future. Apart from being with friends and family, Daria enjoys running her coffee blog and meeting new customers.
Govind Nadathur
Govind Nadathur is an 18-year-old freshman at The Ohio State University, studying Industrial and Systems Engineering. He is from Cincinnati, Ohio. For the past three years, he has conducted research involving nanotechnology and environmental engineering. In 2019, he won 4th place in Environmental Engineering at the International Science and Engineering Fair. In addition, he won the first place Soybean Council Award in Ohio, won the first place award from GE Aviation at the University of Cincinnati Science and Engineering Expo, and won honorable mention at the 2019 International Genius Olympiad. In 2020, he won 1st place from the Ohio Mars Society at the UC Science and Engineering Expo and won the 1st place Believe in Ohio STEM entrepreneurship award at Ohio State Science Day. In 2020, he was nominated to speak at multiple TEDx talks about his research. Outside of scientific research, he is an Eagle Scout, loves camping, hiking, weightlifting, and learning about business and psychology.
Ilona Schaal
Ilona is a direct descendant of Armenian Genocide survivors during WWI and survived wartime in the Republic of Georgia right after the collapse of the USSR. Over the years Ilona has succeeded in turning her losses, disparities from war, struggles to fit in, every “No” in her life, into her super powers.
She is an International TEDx speaker and is featured in Fox, NBC, CBC, Influencive, Powerhouse and Forbes Magazines.
Knikki Hernandez
Knikki Hernandez is the author of the book “Empowering Gen Z: Practical Lessons to Take Students From Z to A++” and a high school Spanish teacher in Central Virginia. She specializes in assisting others in navigating the dynamic and complex educational landscape through training on communication between Gen X, Y, & Z, reading & writing, and cultural competency. Additionally, as the CEO & creator of Turning The Tide Teachables, she is responsible for providing access to the most cutting edge and efficient tools for her teacher clients to utilize to create stable and positive classroom cultures. She is a powerful force in the educational world and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to provide clarity to others in terms of how they can become the best version of themselves and connect despite the generational differences.
