Theme: The Next Generation: A Reimagined Future

This event occurred on
October 7, 2021
Ulaanbaatar, Ulaanbaatar
Mongolia

TEDxInternationalSchoolofUlaanbaatar is reimagining it all. As humans live longer and the rate of invention accelerates, the next generation will face a dynamic digital world. What possibilities and opportunities will come with tomorrow's technological advancements—for both consumers and organizations? And, equally crucial, where do you fit in? Children and young people have immense potential - for creativity, invention, and change – when given the opportunity, skills, and confidence to be leaders in their communities. Poverty, a lack of quality education and work opportunities, concerns about mental and physical health, as well as the environment, impact young people's attitudes towards the world. The COVID-19 pandemic has compounded these issues, but it has also presented a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reinvent a world suited for all children and young people, led by young people. It is time to reimagine everything.

Hey! My name is Enkhmaa Uyanga, and just as everyone else, I try to make the best out of living every single day, making efforts to not take anything for granted. Saranzaya Gankhuyag

Student
Hi! My name is Saranzaya, and I'm very excited to do this TEDx talk. I've been studying at isu for over 4 years, and this year I'm in 9th grade. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, watching movies, and eating good food. I enjoy new experiences and opportunities and that's why I signed up to do this talk. I'm very interested in fashion, makeup, hair, and self-care. I find most of my inspiration online and that's how I started using TikTok. My talk will be about the dangers and effects TikTok has on teens. I’ll tell my story of how I got addicted to the app and how the app became dangerous for me. My ultimate goal for this talk is to inform my audience about the dangers TikTok could have on teens (especially girls). I picked to do a talk on this topic because not only do I struggle with toxic body image but I've noticed most of my friends and classmates do too. I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of this, and I hope you enjoy my talk and learn something new!
